The steak tacos here are incredible. I was told by one of their staff that the secret weapon is maggi sauce. So so good! Also love the vibe here and the availability of seating inside and out. Staff were superb!
The food was good. We ordered the chip and salsa for the kids to get started with since El Mitote did not have a kid’s menu. I’ve heard a lot about this place as it’s on many lists of the best places to eat for the UWS. Very nice meal seemingly more “authentic” and maybe less sophisticated than typical Americanized Mexican food. Nice solid construction outdoor seating , too.
