Great coffee and pastry, friendly barista, warm store ambient. Abraco is everything you expect (or even more) from a great coffee shop to start your day bright. The only problem here is that the seating is somewhat limited, especially during a busy period.

Was hesitant to come after seeing reviews of poor staff experiences, and sadly my visit fell short as well. I’m happy to accommodate the “no outside food” policy, but we were very publicly called out to not use a jam we got at the farmers market on a scone we had purchased (+ 2 coffees) while inside Abraço… it seemed like a stretch and rather rude.
I’d recommend taking your order to go if you visit, especially if you’d like to enjoy your order how you please. Doubtful I’ll be returning.

Tried an espresso there. There’s a small outdoors seating area, and didn’t seem like there was seating indoors.
Ok service, price, taste. Wouldn’t mind coming again and also didn’t get anything exceptional about it. Perhaps I needed to try something else on the menu.

A nice coffee shop in the East Village. Latte is strong and balanced, the perfect cup to wake up a sleepy afternoon. Macchiato is potent as well, revealing the great beans from which it is made from. Simple seating, a communal table, few sitting and standing tables. Service is fast. Wait time not too long despite constant in-flow of customers. Cash only.

We made a quick stop for coffee and olive oil cake for take out here. The cake was moist and tasted pretty good.

This place has been voted one of the best coffee shops in the world, by the FT. I have no idea how. The coffee was good, not amazing. The hot chocolate wasn't hot or chocolatey. The server said they'd bring the coffee outside to us, but they didn't - it was left inside on the counter (the same happened to the table next to us). Finally, no indoor seating.

First time here today. I ordered a café mocha and the cheddar scone. Initially asked for oat milk and the barista (long hair and a British[?] accent) had a little attitude. She told me they only had whole milk, but not in a friendly, informative way, more of a “how could you not know we only serve one type” tone. I brushed it off but then saw she was quite cheery with other customers who seemed to be regulars so that put a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. However the mocha was INCREDIBLE, one of the best I’ve ever had. Scone was over-baked on the outside and the middle was a tad raw with not a lot of actual cheddar. Overall an average experience but I’d imagine if you’re a regular at this place you’d enjoy it more.

They proudly stated they don’t use any plant based milks. It’s 2022, we have moved on from having to drink cow milk. Their attitude was unpleasant and offensive to this vegan. There are lots of great coffee shops in the neighborhood so go elsewhere.
