From the second you pass thru the door the fun begins!! Your greeting by very friendly staff, who immediately assist you from seating to coat check. You enter the door to the bar/restaurant and boom 💥 excellent mix of dance music, people dancing, eating, drinking laughing everywhere. SOE has such a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff engage in convo, dancing while waiting on you hand and foot. Great place to hang day into night for the young to the old. Had the absolute best time doing brunch celebrating a friends birthday at SOE!!! Can’t wait to go back!! Oh, and the tater tots are to die for!!
Neighborhood staple since doors opened in 2011. Ultimate comfort food and bottomless brunch place for solid meal and old school hip hop music in the background. Truffle mushroom pizza is a classic, lobster tostadas amazing, and Essex burger is gigantic bursting flavor bomb.
Undoubtedly the best choice to be on my birthday! The choice was for the music, I love hip hop, and the place did not disappoint! Old school hip hop, high quality music! The menu doesn't have many options, but it's very tasty! Recommend for hip hop lovers. I don't know if we arrived early, but we were alone for hours, which made everything better!!!!!
Food was good! I had a salad and added the cornflake fried chicken breast. Hubby had chicken and waffles. Met the GM Emmy…she was great and found a pair of sunglasses for me after asking where might I be able to purchase some nearby! And they matches my outfit! This place was super cool!
Love this spot. My friends and I had so much fun. The music was great, the staff was friendly and the Mac n cheese is to die for. We arrived just as the kitchen closed but one of the managers hooked us up. I’ll definitely be returning to try the whiskey wings. 😋
Great restaurant with great vibes. Staff were attentive & great. Nice Ambience and atmosphere. There's a dj at night. The food and drinks are amazing. Definitely recommend. The burger was the highlight and get it with the fried egg. So yummy. Great espresso martini , definitely hit the spot. The truffle mushroom pizza was great for an appetizer.

Best brunch spot I have ever been to! Food was delicious, staff was great and loving the old school hip hop music. Also the live DJ was so dope, felt like I was in a night club at 2:00pm. I will definitely be returning when I go back to New York. Reservations are a must.
The bartender was great and the drinks were well made. Food came out quickly and service was efficient. Burger was great. Truffle fries were some of the best I’ve had. Mac n cheese was a bit tooooo salty though. Overall a great dinner.
Great brunch playing some good r&b music. I got the special (shrimp tacos) and they were seasoned very nicely. My boyfriend got the burger and loved it. The tater tots were just okay but we aren't big fans of tots. The Bellini carafe is good but it was too much sweetness for 2 people.
I gave this place 5 stars because it was also great for a night out. We liked the music and vibe so much that we came back that same night to party. Drinks were strong. Music was still great. Only downfall is that they started kicking people out at 3:15 even though the place advertises that it closes at 4am.
Fun atmosphere, but a bit congested. The music and dance floor are what make this place. You get a club feel during the day.

Good food. Good vibes. Great bottomless brunch. 90 minutes bottomless mimosas for $35pp with entree. You get tater tots and corn bread to share for the table. Recommend for large party birthday party bottomless brunch. Walked in sober and did not walk out like that hahah It was a great time

Had a tasty drink. I haven't had a meal there yet. The drink did its job. As of Feb 2019. I had a meal with a Bestie. The yummy bear drink was good, sliders were tasty as were the truffle fries
