Firstly, the staff is SO nice. Very welcoming, accommodating, and had excellent service (our server was Santiago! Thank you to him!) I ordered the Pollo al Mattone (local organic chicken) and it was the best chicken i’ve ever had. It was crispy on the outside and still juicy on the inside; perfectly cooked. Ended up thanking the chef and he was very thankful about it and i knew i had to write a review! I highly recommend this dish to anyone who has the pleasure of eating here; you won’t regret it!

Great food, fresh and great service. A good place to go before a Broadway show!

I've been going to Esca with my wife every time we visit NYC for the past 15 years. It is consistent and consistently great for crudo, pasta and the freshest fish. We were surprised to see the dining room has been remodeled & updated with a lighter, modern, more open and spacious feel. The food and service remain unchanged, all perfect.

Raw fish sampler dish was fantastic! And I did not like raw fish before trying it here. Our waiter was amazing. Churros were "icing on the cake" of a wonderful lunch. Will absolutely be back.

The place is great. The attention from the staff is very friendly and eager to assist you. The food is awesome. My personal favourites were the octopus and the pumpkin gnocchi. Absolutely brilliant.

It's my third time here. The best place to eat if you are somewhere near to Times Square. Food is tasty, service is exceptional. I just like this place so much. Will definitely come back!

We shared an appetizer of pasta and then the Branzino. Both were terrific. The service was about the best I ever recall. They are very attentive but not over bearing. They are not stuffy but happy to greet you as a welcome guest. We really liked it. We had to make a curtain call and they made sure we had a great meal yet made the curtain. It was all seamless.

AMAZING dinner. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The food was unreal. The sea bass melted in your mouth. The side dishes (potatoes, green onions, and collards) were flavorful and perfectly cooked. We got oysters which were fantastic! The old fashioneds were super solid - strong, but not too overpowering. The gnocchi had a really nice and soft texture. Absolutely loved this place. It’s on the pricier side (for all that we got), but I highly recommend for a more special occasion.

Had an amazing experience coming here. Staff were knowledgeable and were open with wine pairings. Beautiful restaurant, but still relaxed enough that you could enjoy yourself. Would recommend to anyone looking for good seafood fare!
