Truely excellent dining experience. Came for a dinner with one other person on a Sunday night. We had the white Sangria and several small plates and a paella half portion. Mid range on pricing, great ambiance and very authentic cuisine. Gambia’s are a MUST.

This is a great restaurant. Came here as part of a bachelor party weekend and it was a blast. The service and food was exceptional. We had a wonderful tasting menu which was arranged in advance. The restaurant is unique, a little out of the way, but definitely worth it.

Great place with some pretty unique tapas plates - the workers are all very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items. The cocktail options are pretty unique and creative as well. Overall was a great experience, definitely recommend if it fits your price range.

Would give 10 stars if I could! One of the best dining experiences I've had in NYC. Incredible food with good portions and beautiful presentation. Wait staff was super friendly and informative, loved our server Ava and the excellent attention she paid to us. Will definitely be recommending to friends and absolutely will be returning here next time I'm in NY.

What sets this tapas place apart is that there's far more elbow room. You can actually hear your conversations! The food is delicious and there's a good set of cocktails. Service is a bit slow, even when the place isn't packed.

This is more than a restaurant, it is a dining experience! Specializing in spanish tapas (small plates), Toro brings the flavors and excitement of spanish cuisine to Manhattan's East Side. First off, the key to a great spanish tapas restaurant is fresh ingredients; of which I can't reiterate enough how fresh everything was. But what really set this place apart is how all of the little things they did made each dish come to life! I started with dates, stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon. The goat cheese added just the right amount of funk to stand up to the sweetness of the date and saltiness of the bacon. And the crisp bacon counterbalanced the creaminess of the cheese and the soft texture of the dates. Absolutely insane! The street corn stands up to any corn I've had anywhere in the world. Again, as fresh as can be! Great char, creamy aioli, sharp cheese, and a squeeze of lime to add an acidic note to cut through the richness of the aioli and cheese. The octopus was the second best I've ever had in my life. Octopus tends to be chewy but this was anything but. It was as tender as tender could be! It melted as soon as I took a bite. And the charred onions that were served with is had a great acidity and bite that didn't overpower the subtle octopus, but instead complimented it and enhanced the flavor. Empanadas were great; but even these were elevated with an insanely fresh and unique salsa verde unlike any I'd had before. The steak was cooked perfectly, it was amazingly tender, and again, the accoutrements set it apart! From the charred onions underneath to the crazy-good chimichurri, everything on the plate enhanced the flavor of the meat and gave textural balance to the dish. Every bite was balanced and amazing. And best of all, the bone marrow. I've eaten my fair share of bone marrow and this was by far the best I've ever had. It was seasoned just to the edge of perfection. But the best part is that they paired it with fresh oranges and radishes and served it was amazing sourdough bread. The bread had the perfect blend of flavor, fluffiness, and crunch. The orange gave a perfect sweat counterbalance to the saltiness of the marrow and seasoning. And the radish gave a fresh pepperiness that carried the whole bite through. It was simply perfection! Once the meal was over the waiter brought over a shot (and by shot I mean about 2 and a half shots) of cherry and used the bone from the bone marrow dish as a luge to give me a shot on the house. And quite honestly the flavor profile of the cherry mixed with the meatiness of the residual bone marrow and seasoning was another trip to flavortown to end a perfect meal. All that to say, this has quickly become my favorite restaurant in all of Manhattan. It's priced well, great atmosphere, fresh, amazing, and inventive food, and a true culinary experience. This is more than just a restaurant, this truly is the flavors and culture of Spain put into a dining experience. If you haven't been, go!

Loved the vegetarian options out there, its mainly for non veg people but has good amount of vegetarian options too. I tried the corn tapas which has corn and cheese in it which was really good and also tried one potota tapas having fried potoatoes like potato weggies, the service is good, we also tried the red sangria pitcher which was good for 5 people taking 2 servings of a glass. The quantity portion is less but this is the typical at a fine dine restaurant like this, overall i liked it.

Get some modern tapas and cocktails in a revamped warehouse with whole cured hams hanging from the ceiling. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Although the food was OK, and their "fileté" is a very good deal, if you're looking for genuine Spanish tapas there are better places in Chelsea. Cocktails were surprisingly good.
