Then and love it know! It is my early morning treat that I must have and my Norwich terroir Daisy must accompany me. She is 12 lbs of fun and gallops down West 105th to get there early!
Overall, the best bakery in town!!
Pros: One of the best bakeries in Manhattan with many varieties of the menu. Staff is friendly and respectful. Baguette lovers will be satisfied there. All the bakeries is fresh on daily basis. There's a nice outdoor dining area. The a nice list of hot drinks. Prices within the mid range for au h quality. Overall rating is 09/10.
Cons: The shop inside is a bit small for many customers. Otherwise can't complain.
You know when the baguette is good quality, you only need a simple butter. You can tell the baguette will be so tasty when you softly squeeze it hear the light crack sound. This baguette has that perfect crispy outside and soft and moistinside. With tax it’s $4.50 and the portion and the taste makes it totally worth the visit.
When you are craving a good quality baguette near Columbia University, make sure to check this bakery for its baguette silvermoonbakery is perfect small bakery tucked in between upper west side near Columbia University and that make rustic looking breads, pastry, cake and tart!
Everything is great here; point, buy and eat it. I tried the Wheatberry loaf, which has a nice everything bagel like crust. The bread pudding has a good candied orange flavor. The coffee is a dark roast here, it tastes a bit like Starbucks's Pike Place roast. Oh, and before I forget, the morning glory muffin makes my morning great! I can't wait to go back and try more.
Edit: I went back and tried a few more pastries a week later. I had the California breakfast bun and an apricot brioche. Both were wonderful pastries.
Sweet neighborhood vibes at this lovely bakery. The hidden hit is the sourdough bagels. They have the perfect balance of fluffiness whilst also being substantial enough. The staff is always patient and kind regardless of the line. Definitely make a stop here, you won’t be disappointed.
Cute local UWS bakery. This was I think the best quiche I ever had (the feta and tomato), and their pastries were fab as well. Will be back!!
Such a wonderful local bakery that is seemingly adored by the neighborhood.
Pastries, fresh bread, coffee and cookies this little corner joint seems to have everything you need in a bakery including tables on the avenue and two sun drenched benches on the side. There is even a side door where you can order if you have your dog with you.
Good coffee and dessert. Bakery with nice bread!
This bakery does an excellent job of making high quality pastries and desserts. We got one of their lemon tarts that blew us away. This dessert is so flavorful has a really good amount of tartness to it.
The bakery itself has a class window of many different types of desserts you can buy there. It is a small store, but they make a huge variety of items.
I will definitely return this location as I am sure they have a bunch of other fantastic desserts.
Conveniently located on the UWS, Silver Moon Bakery is a local favorite with the quintessential atmosphere commonly found in your classic slightly cramped, rustic style and yet bustling baked goods establishment. I bought the chocolate chip brioche and chocolate babka. The brioche was amazing! I loved the darkness of the chocolate filling contrasted with the granular sweetness of the sugar sprinkled on top. The chocolate babka on the other hand left something to be desired. It was certainly dense with chocolate and had nice braids but I wish the chocolate flavor was less sweet and more akin to the deepness of the chocolate chip brioche.
Overall a great bakery to check out if you're on the UWS and I will definitely stop in again to try out other things!
Tiny bakery with a steady line. Small area in front to sit and eat outside. Lots of fresh bread, pastries, etc. Almond croissants are very flaky and coffee was really good.
