Sushi Of Gari - New York City - Photo album

This is truly one of the best sushi spots that I’ve been to, and highly recommend it. Everything was very fresh, and the chef was a master.
Sushi from NYC's old school sushiya, Sushi of Gari. It once it held a one Michelin star but not anymore to my knowledge. It is definitely one of the restaurants that started the sushi culture in the early 1990s for New Yorkers and still keeps its class to some level. For sushi perhaps, I have had be
One of the best sushi in town! We had omakase and all sushi pieces were like artwork! Its very pricey but you get what you paid for. Highly recommended!
By far one of the best high-end sushi restaurants in NYC. It’s always crowded so be sure to call and get a reservation. I rave about this spot all the time. The omakase is worth it. Best spicy tuna rolls in manhattan. They have some gourmet items like truffle and quail egg sushi and stewed toma
Good selection of sushi! Omakase was tasty! It does get really busy so try and get a booking otherwise you might have to wait for a table!
The pinicle of new age NYC sushi. If it's worth the price is a personal call but it's as good as Ginza Yasuda and above Tonashi Nakazawa or even Brushstrook.
I went here on recommendation and I'm so glad I did. I know they are better places but this is a nice mid-range sushi restaurant. The fish was so fresh and the cuts of fish were out of this world!
Nice little place for some good sushi. Wasn't a big fan of the tofu sauce or the foie gras
Amazing original sushi. Their fish is fresh and well cooked.
Great fun for omakase - very creative and it doesn't stop
Very nice Japanese restaurant! Their food is so fresh and delicious! We usually order Fatty Tuna with Salmon! SO DELICIOUS!!!! I've been only a few times, but each time has been outstanding. Everything is so flavorful! It's very pricey but i understand that since most of the food is imported from J
This is a small gem of a place.. service was great and food quite exceptional!! Definitely a place I will return to!
Pretty nice, the price are very reasonable, sushi are pretty fancy, yet fish quality is pretty good. For 65 dollar, 10 course Omakase. it is worthy. After all, it use to be a Michelin 1 star. And I think it still deserves the star. 😁😁😁 I didn't take photo, but you can find more on Yelp or Google i
Probably the best sushi restaurant in New York , authentic with a gastronomic twist. Freshest fish straight from Japan combined with a mastered portion of rice that will melt in your mouth. A must try is the salmon sushi with roasted tomatoes. Beautiful wine and sake list. Book your seat at the bar
Sushi of Gari is my favorite sushi spot that isnt over the top expensive. I come every couple months and they never let me down. I've done the tasting menu a few times and for two people will run you ~$400. if you order off the regular menu, a good amount of food and a small sake will run you ~$200.
I had an omakase at Sushi of Gari and it was very impressive. Every sushi piece is like a 3 course menu in one bite. Fine quality ingredients and the sushi chef pays attention to all the details. Its a little bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it. Highly recommended.
So so good. Staff was very accommodating. To quote Action Bronson, "!@$% that's delicious". Great everything, best oyster I've had in a while. Restaurant is cozy and popular so make a reservation! or get lucky...
