Cozy but busy food joint within the Chelsea market with good food. Although there wasn’t halal options we opted for seafood/ vegetarian options instead which were plenty as a stop by snack while exploring.
The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Jocelyn in particular was super sweet in helping us swap our accidental alcoholic beverage order. She was kind enough to offer us an alternative virgin drink and compensate with food instead! Would recommend grabbing a snack here if you’re passing by the market :)
Absolutely loved this place. Draft Sapporo to wash down a couple of delicious Japanese/Mexican fusion tacos. I had the spicy tuna and the braised short rib. Both delicious especially with the salsa too! Highly recommend.
While exploring Chelsea Market, be sure to stop in for a drink and a snack at Takumi Taco! I enjoyed a delicious (and beautiful) Paloma plus a few bar snacks. The Japanese Curry Beef taco was one of my top 5 tacos ever, so unique and flavorful! I highly recommend enjoying a lychee iced tea with your meal as well.
Good foods but smaller portions, margaritas are great and I enjoyed Chelsea market for their margaritas😍. Will definitely try other dishes next time, but margaritas are highly recommended.
SOOOO good!!! Delicious and reasonably priced. Got these tacos: chicken adobo, Japanese curry beef, and spicy tuna - all were so delicious and I was hold totally get all of them again. And these were all recs by the staff, too!
Loved my food – satisfying and delicious. They have seating both inside and out although be warned that it is busy on the weekends. If you don’t wanna go through the crowds of Chelsey market you can enter from the outside.
Came here at 6pm on a Tuesday night and there was no capacity to sit inside, but there were empty tables outside that we were able to grab right away. The tacos were delicious and they also had good drinks! Highly recommend for a chill after work quick bite
Japanese Curry Taco is bursting with flavor, medium heat, but insanely good
Short rib taco, good, not as impressive after trying the curry taco. The chips that were added to our boxes were stale tasting.
Service was fast! The froze was incredibly refreshing especially in the heat-
At first it was tricky to navigate where you could order from (which is the side) as there were so many people hovering in one spot waiting for their food.

Surprising good option on the Chelsea Market, the Japanese/Mexican fusion dishes are veery good with a very cold beer and amazing marguerita. Ambience is simple but delicious food and nice service
Everyone who comes to NYC always has Chelsea Market in places to visit and we did. It has many little restaurants inside. We walked around and my family wanted to eat Thai food while I tried Takumi Taco, to me it seemed special and different. It’s actually right across from the Thai restaurant my family went. I went in and sit on the counter, seems like most people ordered to go also.
It’s actually a Japanese/Mexican fusion. All tacos are about $5 a piece, there are quite a few different flavored tacos. I ordered the first 2 to try, both sushi type tacos with crispy tasty shells: Japanese Curry Beef and Spicy tuna tacos. They’re both amazingly different and excellent. I ordered sake sangria to try and it’s good also. I tried the Chipotle Shrimp, it’s OK but nothing special since I don’t like tiny shrimps. I saw people eat the rice bowls which looked quite good but I was full so I didn’t try. I would come back here and try more dishes from this place if I ever visit NYC again.
