Tastefully decorayed thai restaurant in the heart of time square. Kind of fine dining place. Service was a little slow. But the food was good. Ordered for tom kha soup, edamame, litchi lemonade, thai green curry, pad thai & veg fried rice along with some sesame tofu & veggie dumplings. Nice place to host family & visiting friends having a taste of authentic thai cuisine..

Great atmosphere. The lighting is interesting and very dark in the bathroom. Great Thai food and rice. Curry was great and well cooked. I enjoyed everything about my visit to this restaurant.

Qi Bangkok Eatery is a cute little Thai Restaurant with locations in Times Square, Union Square and Williamsburg. I  had the opportunity to visit the Hell’s Kitchen/Times Square location a few months ago and was very satisfied. Wait, I already know what you are thinking; all the restaurants in Times Square are touristy and bad. Well I will vouch that Qi (this location at least) is not half bad. While I do think that Sea in Brooklyn has some of the best Thai food in NYC, if ...

This restaurant looks really fancy when you are first coming in but the prices are reasonable for Times Square. If you order their curry, medium is actually rather mild, so order it hot. The service was good even though it was busy. The portions were really too big for one person. My group of four ordered three appetizers and two entrees, and were more than stuffed. If you're in the mood for Thai, go here. The food is good, the atmosphere and the service is great. It is not fabulous, but you will enjoy your meal.

If you are in or near Times Square, this could be a good place to go! It is always driving me crazy to see that people are missing great restaurants in this area! There are great places on 9th Avenue and on 8th, I discovered Qi Bangkok Eatery (pronounce Chee). The restaurant has been opened since mid 2011 by Chef Pitchet Ong (P*ONG). At first, I did not know it was a restaurant! From the outside, it looks like a club and when you hear the loud electronic music, you would surely think you are in a club. The decor is beautiful: mainly white (white marble, white leather...), modern furnitures and amazing chandeliers, with a Buddha in the back of the room. They also display holograms from the menu to the check to...the bathroom! We started with Triple Mushroom Spring Roll: crispy spring rolls stuffed with glass noodles, wood ear mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, enoki mushrooms and minced vegetables, served with pomegranate Asian plum sauce. It had a nice presentation and was really good:

Credit: Qi Restaurant Qi (pronounced: "Chee") is a great Thai restaurant just west of Times Square. When I was invited to join a couple friends for dinner at Qi I was a bit skeptical. Good food in Times Square. Is this a tourist trap? Believe it or not. The food is excellent. The prices are great, especially for the quality of the food you get. And it just looks so pretty inside with the white décor. The menu is divided in two sections: Bangkok Classic menu and the Bangkok Selection by Pichet Ong, a well known pastry chef. The appetizers at Qi are delicious. There's so much to try so I'd recommend trying the Assorted Fritters which comes with crispy chicken-shrimp dumplings, Asian chive corn dumplings spring rolls, sesame tofu and blanket shrimps. Served w/ peanut sweet chili sauce. All are delicious, but the best is the sesame tofu. My favorite entrée was the King Fish Teh-Pho Tumeric Curry . It's a big piece of fried king fish served in a clay pot with spinach, onions, napa cabbage

Stopped by for drinks before the theater. Great happy hour drink specials. $7 margaritas and $6 wine. Spicy Sriracha Wings we’re delish. 6 wings in a spicy glazed sauce. The 5 Honey Ribs come 6 to an order and we’re very good. Service was good. Perfect snack before a show and just a couple of blocks from the theater.

Creative energy is filled in this place, accompanied by more than attentive but personable service. This is definitely not your grandma's Thai place. Nor is it as intimidating as fine dining places where smiles are posed and hypocrisy is seen in people's dress. You will feel relaxed and comfortable and visually pleased, thanks to the decor. I especially like the Chinese screens which add privacy, mysterious, exploratory elements and elegance to the space. The server showed care and is really nice. And the food is creative and the presentation is awesome. I liked the ribs and Qi Pad Thai is sophisticated, different from what you usually have. Reasonable priced for what is it. Oddly they don't have a lot of guests when I visited. I recommend making it more discoverable and organizing some signature events.

Food was amazing, restaurant was beautiful. The aesthetic is fantastic and they have a stairway to heaven 😉(a beautiful rated R art display in the back). But in the dinning area the wall paper is modern yet looks authentic to the culture. Elmo, skateboarders, basically the city but looks like culturally done. I had to really look to see how cool the wall paper was. I only have video of the wallpaper. It's very cool.

Qi was fantastic! The staff was super friendly. Recommend getting a reservation but we were able to be seated fairly quickly without one. The pad see ew was very flavorful and not spicy. The panda drink was great and even came in the cutest container. Will definitely be coming back!

The food here was good and the happy hour is nice. At the end of our meal, we weren’t offered a dessert menu or approached by a waiter. It was an awkward wait but I would come here again. They have a great bathroom and it’s super clean and pretty inside here.

Yummy Thai food with both tofu and imitation duck (seitan) options for vegetarians. Good service and nice atmosphere. Great little spot to eat before or after a play, which is what we did.

Nice place with great food. We ordered two soups including the five spices beef soup, probably one of the best Asian soup we had in our entire lives. We highly recommend this place. Food is worth the money.

Did not expect how good this food would be! I've been to several Thai restaurants in New York and I must say the flavors are crazy good and food came fast! I ordered the red curry (medium heat) and it was still spicy! Luckily I love spice but of you don't then please let them know ahead of time. The flavor combo kept exploding in my mouth. Spicy, Sweet, Salty and slight sour. For an extra $2 I order the curry with Angel hair rice noodles which was a great choice! My wife ordered the Papaya salad which was big in portions, fresh and delicious. A Side of sticky rice which wasn't too big but just right. The beer options were impressive. They had Haufbrah German lagers, some local IPAs and a bunch of Thai selections. All available for happy hour. The atmosphere was pretty and full of classy patterns in a dim lit space. It was extremely busy though and the room was hot. Almost a bit too hot. Maybe they are going for the full Thai experience? I highly recommend this spot during the middle of the week as the Friday we arrived was crazy busy. We did not have to wait though and the food came super quick!

We arrived at this relative newcomer to the crowded Thai/Asian fusion scene in Hell’s Kitchen at around 6pm on a weeknight. We sat at the bar and started with their signature lychee martini ($6). It was a little too sweet for my taste, but had fresh lychee purée and a lychee garnish. For an appetizer we had the spicy fried chicken bao. The chicken was crispy and moist and the pickled veggies were a nice contrast to the mild heat of the spicy mayo. For entrees, we had the pineapple fried rice with pork and a pad see ew with beef. Both were really good. The beef in the pad see ew was tender and sauce was sweet and savory. The service was pretty typical of many Thai restaurants, very friendly, but not overly attentive.

Lovely space! The restaurant is gorgeously decorated, the service is super friendly, and the food is good. I had lunch special on Sunday afternoon; such a good find in the neighborhood.
