What a lovely place! We went here for lunch and enjoyed it. The food was delicious. We ordered the Prix Fixe Menu which was very reasonable and great value. I would definitely return.
Came here for dinner at 7:30pm on a Friday night and the restaurant was at capacity. You would most likely need a reservation here for peek dinner times. The food and wine selection were extensive and we liked the quality of the food. The restaurant was a bit on the louder side and the atmosphere wasn’t very intimate, which makes it better for group dinners and less so for date nights
Great food and selections. Also, I really appreciate a large rock for my whiskey. I had spaghetti and meatballs which was great. My guest had Tuna Ravioli - he said it was great (he is from NYC btw).
We visited this cozy and quiet Italian restaurant for a weekend lunch. It’s the perfect place to have a conversation without the music or noise drowning out your voices. They were playing soothing Italian music in the background.
As a complementary welcome dish, we were given sourdough with garlic confit and olives. We picked the three course prix fixe lunch menu - which is very reasonable priced for the location, portion sizes and quality of food.
We tried the eggplant parmigiana and baked goat cheese for appetizers, spicy pasta and chicken paillard for main course, and tiramisu and tartufo for dessert.
All the dishes were delicious and filled us up. If I could be nit-picky, the chicken was slightly rubbery/dry but did not stop me from
savoring the course.
We went early on a Friday to beat the weekend rush so it was very quiet and the wait staff was very attentive. We had several items, including the beet salad, whipped ricotta and honey, linguini w/clams, and penne in spicy tomato sauce. Everything was delicious and plentiful! I would definitely pay them another visit next time I'm in town!
Excellent cozy Italian restaurant for grown-ups. Friendly, great food, no obnoxious music. Not quiet, but that’s because there is lots of chat and laughter. Near The Joyce and the Irish Rep. Perfect for pre-theater. And for after dinner drinks and deserts.
I have loved this restaurant for many years. It never fails to satisfy my family of food and wine lovers.
There are different parts to this restaurant and you can find your favorite. Ours varies according to the season and our mood.
We had a beautiful salad of wild mushrooms, lot’s of the pasta’s including their delicious lasagna. I had their calves liver and our friend enjoyed the mussels.
The flourless chocolate cake was amazing and nut free.
I only stopped by for the dessert and it was reasonably priced and amazing. The souffle was the best I've ever had and the tiramisu was one of the best too.
Atmosphere was cozy, music was great, staff were incredibly attentive. Got the duck confit with saffron risotto and it was amazing, but then had the tiramisu for dessert which knocked it out of the park. I don’t normally leave reviews but this was so good!!
I've been eating here often since I moved into the neighborhood in 2010. The food is excellent, specials are interesting and great, staff is friendly and attentive. We've never been disappointed.
