Amazing Mexican food place
It was a pleasant discovery in SoHo. The place is as amazing as the food proposed. All Tacombi team was very nice and welcoming
The menu is small, which is great because that means they do what they do very well. The tacos where all great and the drinks were even better. The service was also very good, our server was fast and fun. We will definitely be coming back.
This is a really cute taco place right in the middle of Bleecker Street in the West Village. The host was extremely lovely when we went and constantly checked on us to see how our food was. The guacamole is crazy delicious here and the tacos were super fresh and flavoursome! I would have rated this place higher but unfortunately our waitress was a little ride with us and it felt as though she was pushing us to order more food. But I will definitely be going back here!
Atmosphere captures you as you enter, there's no bad seating in this space. I love the bar... Food, Mediterranean goodness (yummzers). Service agreeable, and can walk you through the menu and questions you may have. We had a great experience ⭐️
The food in Tacombi at this location was amazing. The fact that they offered fish tacos was a great sign, and they tasted delicious according to my friend. Definitely will try fish tacos next time. The vegan burrito was unique too. There was sweet potato and maybe kale in it. Super healthy option! My chicken quesadilla was tasty too. The only area for improvement could be to have a cooler environment during the summer. But we were not overly hot inside under the fan. There could be a bit of waiting time for using the bathroom, so we would be mindful next time. Overall, it’s a great restaurant for authentic tasty Mexican food.
Also, their to-go container was cute, and the food was still warm when we got home after about a 30-minute train ride.
Small focused menu, with every dish we had being awesome. The atmosphere is dark, as in lighting, and the seating is cramped on wobbly stools. But, a small price to pay for a great taco. The best 9ne was the shrimp cheese spectacular, wrapped in a layer of fried cheese. The seared fish was great, the chicken was OK. The bean and cheese burrito was great, stuffed with crunch from vegetables. Definitely get the chips and guacamole, freshly crushed. There are two salsas in plastic bottles on the table, the green one is yum!
I liked the open circulation of air through the space - made it feel like a proper summer vibe. Food is good although more expensive than Los Tacos for comparable quality. Wanted to love the Birria but found it way too greasy even for a hedonist like me. Not a bad spot if you want a sit-down destination for your taco fix.
Awesome tacos. Had a bunch of different tacos, but our favorite was the Beef Birria tacos. The consume (I know it's spelled wrong), was so good I could have drank it. The atmosphere is really nice if you are dropping in to have a drinks or if it's just dinner, but definitely have both.
Will definitely come again.
I’ve been to a couple of these locations, this one is located in prime central village, busy area. It was a a warm summer night, not crazy hot, so we ate outside in the shed. I think they might wish to consider closing the large doors during the summer since I probably would’ve preferred to sit inside with a/c but since they open the doors and windows it didn’t make a difference. The staff works hard and although it’s rather casual dining, the service is pleasant. None of us had drinks and we still ended up at $30 per person. Food is decent, nothing outstanding, pretty much what you would expect at a casual Mexican restaurant. I’d give it another try.
Fantastic food and great service. The tacos are absolutely delicious. The sauces incredible. Had a great time enjoying a quick bite here. Highly recommend it!
I’m generally picky about tacos, and these were delicious. I enjoyed the carnitas the most. I was also highly impressed with the service; on a crowded Saturday evening, our waiter was highly attentive, efficient, and made sure to double check on dietary restrictions. My only complaints: It was a bit loud and crowded with backless stools, but overall good vibe. The guac is much too expensive — not that good with slightly stale chips
Friendly staff, prompt service, very casual atmosphere but not overly loud. Loved their corn, avocado tostadas and shrimp tacos. The chicken tacos and black beans quesadillas were a let down though.
Excellent, simple but really well executed Mexican food. Service was a little hit and miss but overall a highly recommended place to go.
