New Wonjo Restaurant - New York City - Photo album

Authentic Korean Barbecue cooked over charcoal. The service was excellent. We enjoyed the combination meal with ribeye, short ribs, and spicy pork. The sides are delicious. We also enjoyed the fried dumplings as an appetizer. The spicy soft tofu stew was also great.
One of the best if not the best Korean BBQ place I have visited. Service is top notch and super friendly and the food quality is superb. No wonder it was under Michelin radar I believe few years ago.
Wonjo can serve 8 of us on Friday night. I tried several restaurants around the area and none can do that. We ordered the premium set of bbq. The good thing I like is they cook for us. I usually overcook my streak when I m doing the bbq by myself. I like the pork belly and the rib eyes the most.
Wonjo is a busy and popular kbbq restaurant in the heart of ktown. With only a 20 minute wait for a party of 5 on a Friday evening, this already put it higher on rankings for kbbq in NYC. We ordered the Wonjo Combo, Spicy squid udon, Spicy cold noodle with soup, and fresh raw crab. The food was ta
Korean BBQ on a super hot summer day is a must at New Wonjo. It’s an amazement to watch real wood charcoal grilling your favorite meats while the AC is blasting! Friendly staffs carefully grill the meats and place them on a separate dish over lettuce to keep it more juicy.
New Wonjo was my first stop once I decided to explore Korean dishes and I loved it. Still do. Went back today after a long while and ughh I missed it. Haven't had korean side dishes in a while and was glad to try a new one at NW today, pickled wild sesame leaves. It was quite strong, as in salty and
We visit NYC yearly and make it a point to try a new KBBQ place in Korea Town each time, and I have yet to leave a review for any of them, until now! New Wonjo is probably our favorite so far… for portions, price point, quality, service, and compared to other K Town places New Wonjo is definitely un
Fast service, good food, please make reservations and go as it's a pretty popular joint with the young and trendy. Had a wonderful dinner with family enjoyed every moment of the tasty dinner 🍽️
This was my last evening in NYC and I just walked out from different restaurant due to terrible experience. I walked to K-Town and came to New Wonjo (recommended by my Korean friend). I was hungry and tired. The restaurant was busy, but the staff have seated me and offered beverage which arrived in
My experience at Wonjo was really good! This was my first time trying Korean barbecue, and it did not disappoint. Our servers. were extremely attentive. We went for the premium beef combination. All of the meats were cooked to perfection. My favorite was the short rib, the dipping sauces and sides c
I’m Korean and this is my go-to for Korean food in the city. The tastes are on point and where I bring my parents whenever they are in town. We got the soy marinated crab combo, the gamjatang jungol, the bossam, and bibim naengmyun. You can make a resy online but when we got there at 6:30p on a Tues
KoreaTown. There's tons of Korean BBQ spots and I happened upon New Wonjo. You had the option of just ordering prepared meals or having a grill provided at your table where the server cooked your favorite meat sources. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The combos came with a variety of side dishe
This was a great place for a Valentine's dinner! The staff were very helpful in recommending foods, and also explaining what was included in our order and the best ways to eat it for flavor. They also grilled our BBQ well. The quality and taste of the food was amazing! Highly recommended.
Our grill master was amazing. We ordered the wonjo meat special which gave 2 types of beefs and 1 pork. Everything was delicious . Our meat was for us and our grill master even explain the best way to enjoy our food ! We also ordered the kimchi cake and dumplings. They gave us an egg soufflé on th
This was such a wonderful experience to partake in with friends! The atmosphere and food was wonderful! The highlight truly was when one of the staff members spent time with us teaching us about all the different dishes and how best to pair them. It was such a homely, warm, welcoming experience that
Had a great time, food was on Point — I understand that the restaurant has to maximize space so ppl are eating close to each other, but it does give it a more personable vibe. Prices aren't unreasonable, you're paying for the food and experience. I'm familiar with Korean food so this was great, I lo
I began eating here when I lived in NYC 20 years ago, and I stop by every time I visit the city. My family and I always order the stews - sundubu jigae and deon jang jigae. Service is great, with generous serving of panchan.
