This was such a wonderful experience to partake in with friends! The atmosphere and food was wonderful! The highlight truly was when one of the staff members spent time with us teaching us about all the different dishes and how best to pair them. It was such a homely, warm, welcoming experience that my friends and I truly recommend.

One of the best if not the best Korean BBQ place I have visited. Service is top notch and super friendly and the food quality is superb. No wonder it was under Michelin radar I believe few years ago.

Authentic Korean Barbecue cooked over charcoal. The service was excellent. We enjoyed the combination meal with ribeye, short ribs, and spicy pork. The sides are delicious. We also enjoyed the fried dumplings as an appetizer. The spicy soft tofu stew was also great.

Fast service, good food, please make reservations and go as it's a pretty popular joint with the young and trendy. Had a wonderful dinner with family enjoyed every moment of the tasty dinner 🍽️

My experience at Wonjo was really good! This was my first time trying Korean barbecue, and it did not disappoint. Our servers. were extremely attentive. We went for the premium beef combination. All of the meats were cooked to perfection. My favorite was the short rib, the dipping sauces and sides complemented the meats perfectly. The charcoal definitely gives the meat more flavor. Our combination also came with a pork and kimchi soup, which was so hearty and had a good amount of spice. To drink I had their homemade lemonade , which was very refreshing.
I will definitely be dining at Wonjo again

Our grill master was amazing. We ordered the wonjo meat special which gave 2 types of beefs and 1 pork.
Everything was delicious . Our meat was for us and our grill master even explain the best way to enjoy our food !
We also ordered the kimchi cake and dumplings. They gave us an egg soufflé on the house which was delicious. The only thing we ordered I didn’t “love” was the dumplings.
Overall this was a fun experience and food /service did not disappoint!

New Wonjo was my first stop once I decided to explore Korean dishes and I loved it. Still do.
Went back today after a long while and ughh I missed it. Haven't had korean side dishes in a while and was glad to try a new one at NW today, pickled wild sesame leaves. It was quite strong, as in salty and intense at first taste but I kept going back for more. It added flavor to the 부대 찌개 🍲 (dudae jiggae) I ordered.
I went in there thinking, "I'm not too hungry so something simple and small is all I need" but I left after emptying every dish on my table, an extra bowl of rice and a bottle of flavored soju and a teacup of cinnamon tea (to help my tipsy self)😅.
The food aside the service is as I recall, awesome. You will find someone at your side as soon as you try getting someone's attention, or they will approach you to make sure everything is OK.
Ps: They other empty dishes are absent because they cleared the table as soon as they were empty and I reassured them I didn't need anymore for fear of exploding.

Had a great time, food was on Point — I understand that the restaurant has to maximize space so ppl are eating close to each other, but it does give it a more personable vibe. Prices aren't unreasonable, you're paying for the food and experience. I'm familiar with Korean food so this was great, I loved the addition of pumpkin slices w/ the Banchan.

We visit NYC yearly and make it a point to try a new KBBQ place in Korea Town each time, and I have yet to leave a review for any of them, until now! New Wonjo is probably our favorite so far… for portions, price point, quality, service, and compared to other K Town places New Wonjo is definitely unbeatable. We got one of the combos that included some of the BEST grilled pork belly I’ve ever had. My husband doesn’t even typically like pork and he couldn’t stop eating it when we went! On our last trip, we ended up going back 2 nights in a row lol the 3rd night we tried another spot only to regret not going back to New Wonjo for the third night lol also love that they are open until 5 am for the nights we get in late!!!

I’m Korean and this is my go-to for Korean food in the city. The tastes are on point and where I bring my parents whenever they are in town. We got the soy marinated crab combo, the gamjatang jungol, the bossam, and bibim naengmyun. You can make a resy online but when we got there at 6:30p on a Tuesday there were plenty of tables for 4 if it’s non bbq.
