This was such a wonderful place. The food was fantastic especially their bread and it was so pretty. I definitely recommend the short rib and the branzino. Everyone was so kind and they also have coat check. Their drinks are a bit on the pricier side so I didn’t end up trying them. Would come here again!
Went for restaurant week. It was good food, but not great. The acoustics in the place was absolutely crazy so you heard everything that someone 30 ft behind you was saying. I was expecting it to be a more romantic vibe, but it was giving party vibes. Do not go during prime dinner rush if you get overstimaulted
This is a Middle Eastern style restaurant that has a really nice atmosphere and decorations. The food, for lunch, offers a good selection of salads, middle eastern offerings, and appetizers. There is a nice bar as well. Overall, not too crowded so it was a good experience for lunch.
Came here in a Friday night and the restaurant was at capacity. You definitely need a reservation in advance. The food and atmosphere were great. We had the spicy feta and it came with warm bread and it was absolutely delicious! We also really enjoyed the short rib tajine. Highly recommend it
Let’s start with service! Everyone helps each table out to ensure guest are greeted and being taken care of. We made reservations for brunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t too crowded. I was able to sit comfortably without having so many people crowded around. The ambience was gorgeous!
Food I recommend starting off with the hummus and taboon flatbread. Both 10/10. This was very filling. For the entrees I recommend the crab Benedict! It’s very light and doesn’t make you feel bloated. Crab was a perfect texture and taste. If you’re looking for a heavy meal, filled with protein I recommend the SLOW-COOKED SHORT RIB. Very well seasoned! Definitely something different from the usual brunch places I have gone too. As for drinks I got the bottomless mimosas which has 3 different options. The Portokali was also a good drink, a bit on the stronger side for me. Overall I would give this place a 10/10 on food and drinks. Service was great throughout the entire time. This is a cute date spot as well as a girls brunch or dinner spot!
One of my favorite places in NY and I love bringing friends here who are visiting! Every dish I ever had from the menu was delicious and the service is always outstanding
Karina and Darko were amazing, their service and hospitality was what took a great dining experience and turned it into a memorable one! So often restaurants forget about the importance of great customer service and connection as one of the foundational elements of an exceptional dining experience but these two made my brunch special! You’ll definitely be seeing me here again!
Tim was our server, and he was great! We ate the short ribs and duck confit dishes. My fave was the duck. For apps the Mezze, with a very yummy parsley hummus. The last recommendation for dessert is the slain. It slayed!
The menu is not labeled with allergens however the server was very knowledgeable on what could be made gluten free without cross contact (I have celiac). The steak was delicious! The rest of the group enjoyed the dips and pita.
We were in town for a concert and decided to book a reservation at Barbounia as a last minute adjustment.
Can undoubtably say that this is one of the better upscale meals I’ve had in NYC, without completely breaking the bank. The good news is, the food was so good, I was only able to snap one picture. The bad news is, I could only get one picture.
We started with the mezze assortment of multiple spreads and they keep coming with bread to use for the dip. Nice service. One friend had the duck shawarma and the other had the strip. I had the veal, of course. Everything was exceptional. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was relaxing. 5 stars for sure.
