The most amazing diner. Not all polish and patter, but a warm welcome and staff who have genuine smiles and want to engage and assist. We felt very welcome and were given help with our orders. The food was just fantastic. Be ready to be very full, but totally satisfied and pleased. Huge portions of quality, well-prepared food. We even boxed some up to take back to our hotel. It would have been a crime to waste any. Next time we come to NYC, we WILL come to Sarge's again!!!

Absolutely amazing. I haven't eaten so tasty for a long time. Matzo ball soup: rich broth, and matzo ball tasted like if there was meat inside. Big portion. Pastrami sandwich: just 2 pieces of bread with LOTS of juicy meat between them. Maybe a little expensive, but worth it. Pickles and coleslaw: also very good, especially the half-sour pickle. Service: very friendly. Highly recommended.

The food here was INCREDIBLE! There are so many delicious and authentic dishes to try! My favorite thing to order is the Chicken Parm sandwich and the matzo soup! The serving size is MASSIVE! The food quality was incredible and I highly recommend eating here! It is a hidden gem, and who doesn’t love an authentic meal?! The service was also incredible… oh and they have TONS of delicious desserts too!!
