Great Northern Food - New York City - Photo album

You must start the day with breakfast! So many choices...consider the Grain Bar at the Great Northern if Oatmeal is on your list! A good sized portion, cooked and ready to serve, includes healthy toppings! Enjoy! (I did!)
When you walk into the terminal you’re greeted with a sprawling food hall offering Scandinavian sandwiches, salads, hot dogs & sweets, plus coffee & a bar. I had a pork and cabbage sandwich and my beautiful girlfriend had the pulled chicken sandwich. The bread was fresh, the meat was tasty, the vege
A great option if you're commuting in and out of Grand Central! There are a variety of options, from quick to-go pastries and coffee, to flatbread pizza slices, to sandwiches, to porridge bowls. There's also a bar. Although it seems a little pricey, it's no more expensive than the other options with
Superbly fresh, home-made tasting bakery. Pricey, but thoroughly worth it. Fruit and salads. Unenthusiastic staff. Very small place, close to one of Grand Central's entrances, and to the subway's entrance.
I had a salad at almanak the salad and soup outlet here The cold pea soup is excellent, full of flavor with a bit of crunchy fresh veggies inside The chicken salad is full of very fresh and tasty greens. The chicken is lean and fresh
4 stars for the taste. The service was non existent because of how busy it gets. The Flatbreads are very tasty.
Great Palce for a good breakfast... everything I tasted so far is delicious... sometimes they try to hard to be a restaurant, they are a bakery with a breakfast service.... and thats plenty in Grand Central.
Meyers Bageri is located at the Great Northern Food Hall aka Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central, access from within the main floor of the terminal or from 42nd Street. If you go early enough in the mornings, you may be able to sample a bake treat. The staff is wonderful, just pleasant and helpful.
Great for breakfast. Eat here twice to have the porridge oats. Really nice a little sweet but still good. Good coffee and bakery also
A little chaotic but an interesting concept. Hard to find a place to sit. Beeing swedish, the smørrebrøds maybe aren't as exotic for me as for the New Yorkers. Still tasty though. The steak tartare was very good together with a matching brown ale.
Somewhat expensive. The free samples are a nice touch. There is pizza, fresh sandwiches, coffee, tea and soda.
Meyers Bageri has complex flatbread with good flavor. Nearly prepared to order. Pricey. The food hall is always busy.
Tasty and expensive! The $10 stop for a breakfast bite and large coffee. However, excellent quality and very friendly service. The sandwich prices are reasonable.
Good selection of food. Modern and simple. Designed to grab and go. Clean and friendly staff.
I’m very much amazed by this small food hall. A lot of healthy choices and cafe.
This is a fun and tasty Danish-style food court, offering many Danish delicacies from smørrebrød (look that up!) to tebirkes (yum!) and many more exciting and unusual foods.
