We were hungover and looking for a small bite, good coffee and the proverbial “hair of the dog”. This place filled all three requirements perfectly. The truffle potato chips with creamy dip is sooo good and we tried the slider combo (pork, pastrami, and falafel. Each one had unique flavors and textures. The coffee and wine were outstanding too. We will definitely try my options at this place. Oh, and excellent, friendly service.
I had a delish lunch. Had the tartar on wonderful rye bread . Very good. I bought bread to take home - it's the best. The deserts were amazing - I had the chocolate mousse bar.
I think it would be better is the hot dog stand was inside the hall where everything else is. It's a little tugged away from everything else and hard to find.
The tips are included when you get the bill. It would be nice if the waiter told you. It's stated on the bill, but I bet a lot of people don't see it. I like the concept that they pay the staff well instead
You must start the day with breakfast! So many choices...consider the Grain Bar at the Great Northern if Oatmeal is on your list! A good sized portion, cooked and ready to serve, includes healthy toppings! Enjoy! (I did!)
When you walk into the terminal you’re greeted with a sprawling food hall offering Scandinavian sandwiches, salads, hot dogs & sweets, plus coffee & a bar. I had a pork and cabbage sandwich and my beautiful girlfriend had the pulled chicken sandwich. The bread was fresh, the meat was tasty, the vegetables were fresh, and the prices were affordable.
A great option if you're commuting in and out of Grand Central! There are a variety of options, from quick to-go pastries and coffee, to flatbread pizza slices, to sandwiches, to porridge bowls. There's also a bar. Although it seems a little pricey, it's no more expensive than the other options within Grand Central, but the quality is far superior. Try the kanelsnurr, which is a their version of a cinnamon roll - delicious!
Superbly fresh, home-made tasting bakery. Pricey, but thoroughly worth it. Fruit and salads. Unenthusiastic staff. Very small place, close to one of Grand Central's entrances, and to the subway's entrance.
I had a salad at almanak the salad and soup outlet here
The cold pea soup is excellent, full of flavor with a bit of crunchy fresh veggies inside
The chicken salad is full of very fresh and tasty greens. The chicken is lean and fresh
4 stars for the taste. The service was non existent because of how busy it gets. The Flatbreads are very tasty.
Great Palce for a good breakfast...
everything I tasted so far is delicious... sometimes they try to hard to be a restaurant, they are a bakery with a breakfast service.... and thats plenty in Grand Central.

Meyers Bageri is located at the Great Northern Food Hall aka Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central, access from within the main floor of the terminal or from 42nd Street. If you go early enough in the mornings, you may be able to sample a bake treat. The staff is wonderful, just pleasant and helpful. The black gloves has much better appeal than the typical transparent ones. Highly recommend!
Great for breakfast. Eat here twice to have the porridge oats. Really nice a little sweet but still good. Good coffee and bakery also
A little chaotic but an interesting concept. Hard to find a place to sit. Beeing swedish, the smørrebrøds maybe aren't as exotic for me as for the New Yorkers. Still tasty though. The steak tartare was very good together with a matching brown ale.
