Loved it. One of the best Korean restaurants I’ve ever been to. Everything, including meat and vegetables, were top quality and reasonably priced. Friendly staff and nice location. Totally recommend.

Set up like a retro 40-50s Korean street food restaurant, Jongro BBQ offers a delicious range of authentic Korean food at decent prices. The servers cook the meats to perfection. Bearable wait times. Should be nostalgic for Koreans with the 90s playlist.

I went to this place on a Thursday at 12:15pm. It's located on the 2nd floor. The building doesn't stand out so look for the building number. It wasn't crowded but a good amount of diners. We had the beef set for 2-3 people. A lot of sides which was great. The server grilled the meat for you and he did a good job. He waited for the grill to be hot and oiled it with some beef fat. All the meat was cooked well and tender. It came with an egg dish which was good. My only complaint is it comes with a soup. Meat serves 2-3 but they give you half a bowl of soup for 3 people. See pics for my serving of soup. The soup was nice and hot and spicy. I would go back to try other things

Walking into Jongro was like walking back into Korea. The atmosphere was perfect. The service staff was always close by if you needed anything or had questions. The kimchi was perfect. 10 out of 10 would recommend going here.

Is for me top 3 in nyc for a delicious Korean BBQ. It’s best to come with minimum 3 people so you can taste different things and not be stuffed. Staff is fast and alert and I always have great service. One of my favorites for sure. Second floor is the original location. Not a good spot for a romantic dinner because it is loud and fast paced. You come here for the food!

Solid kbbq spot. We got the large beef plate, large marinated beef plate and 3 appetizers for 7 people. It was a lot of food but we finished everything. My favorites were the normal beef plate, the seafood pancake, and the rice cakes. The marinated beef plate had way less tender meats. I preferred the thinner meat cuts more. Overall though I expected something a bit higher quality for the price and for the reputation.

We loved it! This was our first experience with Korean BBQ and it will not be our last, hopefully. My husband and I were on vacation just a few days ago in NYC and this was on his bucket list. Staff was so friendly and informative and ready to help newbies. Food was great! We had Pork. Thank you Jongro.

For a great Korean BBQ experience in k-town, Jongro is the spot. This restaurant has tons of space for parties of all sizes, so for large groups. Went with party size of 8-16 and we were able to be accommodated. The food was great, definitely suggest ordering the beef meat platter which comes with an additional side of entrails or intestines and cheesy corn. The seafood pancake is also a must. Some meats do come marinated but don’t need get them since there will be sauces and other things. Tofu stew is also delicious, but it is on the spicier side if you can’t handle spice wouldn’t recommend. Drinks are worth a try and staff were super friendly and food orders moves quickly. Limited photos, was super hungry, and didn’t take as many photos!

This is one of my favorite restaurants EVER! The food is consistently amazing. This last time I went (I’ve been 5 times now), I told them about my gluten allergy and my waitress made me my own section of the table with gluten-free items. It was wonderful, and so delicious! I love it here and I’ll keep coming back. I usually order the beef platter, but this time we did the beef AND pork platter. 11/10.

This was my first time trying Korean BBQ. It was great experience. The meat is very tasty and they wait to finish one round so they can prepare second. I would recommend trying this kind of BBQ because it totally different than regular restaurant experience.
