Food 8/10
Broth very complex and flavorful!! Huge huge portions and they were very generous with the amount of beef tendons in each bowl. I just wished the noodles were bouncier, so that took down the ratings a bit. We also ordered the dumplings, but those highkey tasted like they could’ve been from the supermarket. Cash only.
Atmosphere 6/10
A little cold inside the restaurant, the tables were a little tight.
Service 8/10
Speedy speedy service. I appreciated that.
While at work, I was in the mood for some spring rolls and some soup. So I tried tasty hand. The fried vegetable spring rolls were ok, gave me enough to be full, and didn't even eat the soup until the next day. Now, the soup was delicious with chicken, beef, and shrimp and definitely will fill you up. You might need to eat half and then the rest another time. I would definitely try other items on the menu.
Really love the cucumber salad and pork & chive dumplings. Service is fast and they make sure you know it’s cash only before you sit. Noodles were what made this spot 4/5 but maybe the beef just wasn’t the way to go, wanted a little more flavor. But the chili oil and vinegar at the table helped.
Extremely good prices and portions are INSANE!
Other than that I have to say it must be one of the best noodles dishes I’ve ever had. Got thick noodles with tofu and I wish I didn’t have to leave NYC so I could go back and enjoy this again.
Atmosphere is just like in Asia, extremely simple design, everything has a purpose. It’s all about the food 🤌
Great find on a small street in Chinatown! The noodles were some of the best I’ve ever had and the portion was more than plenty for a filling dinner. We also shared the cucumber salad and pork dumplings which were both delicious. Outside seating was basic, but cool atmosphere.
I highly recommend to those who is looking for an authentic hand pulled noodles. The beef noodles soup is bowl of happiness. It’s very tasteful and fulfilling. The Chicken and shrimp fried rice and Pan fried chicken noodles are also great in taste.
This review is for my experience back in Mar 2023. Safe to say I’ve gravitated towards Asian food again but Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles turned out great. They have indoor and outdoor seating but both are pretty cramped. You can get good value for your money. The portion size and amount of meat was more than appropriate. I wouldn’t say this place is life changing but overall we appreciate the good chinese food.
This place is great! Came here on a Friday night and there wasn't too much of a wait. No reservations required.
It's a tiny hand pulled noodle shop quaintly located at the end of a street in Chinatown with limited seating inside, but plenty of seating outside. There is a HUGE menu, but Yelp was helpful in reminding me what I came here for. Eyes on the prize. It's the hand pulled noodz.
And boy did those noodz deliver. I got the big, wide ones and they were delicious. Glad I got the pan fried vegetable one as it really allows the noodle to shine. Chewy, with a nice bite. Coated in a savory sauce packed with flavor. It was I was craving the entire week.
Excited to come back here to try other dishes on the menu! Glad I found this place
Been coming here for years and I always get the beef soup noodle. It’s as yummy as always and portion is good. I love the chewy noodles. Price definitely has gone up though at $13.50 (Oct 2023). Don’t expect much of the ambiance as the whole place is bare bone basic.
We came upon this place by chance, and good thing we did! It was delicious, you have to try it! We are only staying 4nights and wanted to try as many different places as we could, so we were sad we couldn’t go again, because it was that good!! We ate outside on the street and the vibes were great.
Complete hole-in-the-wall with fantastic food. I come here every time I visit Manhattan and it never disappoints. My personal favorites are the roast duck noodle soup and the soup dumplings. Do yourself a favor and go!
Amazing food and great prices! The noodles are so chewy! Portions are large too. The inside of the restaurant is really small. But there is outdoor seating. The interior is pretty shabby and old. But you are really there for the food, not the ambiance. Highly recommend for Chinese noodle/dumpling lovers!
Delicious hand pulled noodles in Chinatown! I got the tofu pan-fried noodles and scallion pancakes. My boyfriend and I split everything. We both were satisfied with the amount of food. They have lots of condiments for you at the table to add to the dishes. We sat outside under the awning which was nice but could be crowded if there is a lot of people. It's cash only so make sure to bring cash.
Man this place hit the spot. Nothing will beat Very Fresh noodle in Chelsea market but this place is so good in its own way and has a full menu. The noodles were tasty with its wonderful sauce and the beef and shrimp were so tasty. Got the #4 wide hand pulled noodle which I highly recommend. The scallion pancake was excellent as well. The crab soup dumplings were also good but I would have stuck to the pancake and maybe an extra noodle dish.
I was craving noodles and found this NYC Chinatown gem. Hand pulled, pan fried, with big chunks of duck. I can't begin to explain how good it was, other than I'll probably dream about it tonight. All the thumbs up.
