Definitely get the corn on the cob as well as the Cuban sandwich - they’re both tasty and at pretty good value! Seating areas are a bit small so be warned but overall a good place for food!
This was absolutely great.
I was here for the first time 2 years ago and know I must come back on my next visit in NY. The food brought back memories from our honeymoon in Cuba. The food was served quickly and was delicious.
We came for the famous corn and a drink.
The corn was very good but a bit cold. the mojito was good but very expensive ($16) for a Cuban restaurant.
Amazing corn 🥰 es so cute and tasty. Haha I love it , last time I had the cuban sandwich , is also really really good!
Best corn I had, hands down. It was soft, spicy, tangy. Right amount of spiciness, I love that they have lime to go with it. Drinks are well worth it during happy hour.
Good restaurant. The corn appetizer that they are known for is very good, but not incredible. Everyone's entrees we're very good, but were all served cold, as if they had been sitting for some time. We could say "well, they were busy that day," but Cafe Habana is busy every day, all the time, so there should be a way to serve the food hot. The waitstaff was very friendly and great. Would be 5 stars if any of the food (appetizers and entrees included) had been served hot.
Get the Cuban sandwich. You will not be disappointed. It was so incredibly flavorful, and the fries were the best we had the entire trip. So good, we went back twice. I had the blackened chicken plate on one occasion, and that was fantastic. The sweet plantains were also delicious, arguably the best plantains I've had. This place gets bonus points for the atmosphere, probably the cheapest beer in the city ($3.75), and the sweetest family dynamics amongst the staff. The price of the entire meal was a great deal for Manhattan and one of the cheapest meals we had on the trip, while also being one of the tastiest. I thoroughly enjoyed dining here, and I think you will, too.
Corn was amazing. Cuban sandwich was epic. Love this place. I make sure to go every time I’m in New York.
The best corn on the cob you can get in NYC, probably the world even! Lovely little place that I’ve returned to many times. :)
Really love the cotija corn on the cob here, I think I can eat 4 of them in one sit. I also ordered cafe con leche and huevos rancheros for breakfast.
