Prune - New York City - Photo album

A cute cafe serving elevated brunch food. I'm surprised the cafe has been around for 21 years and how did I just dined here, I don't know. To start, I love the decor of the place, from the subway tiled floor to the cozy table tops. The staff were great and attentive. They are strict about all the pa
Very enjoyable. A small restaurant with good food and service. The hamburger was especially delicious, however, the meat could have been slightly less salty but maybe that is just me. Anyway, I would definitely recommend.
I came here last week for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my visit. The food, service and ambience were all top notch. The chefs at Prune take simple ingredients and turn them into big flavors. I’m excited to go back in the near future for dinner!
Cute place and high quality food. The menu options are solid. The only negative is that, although they do brunch and open at 10am, there's no espresso based coffee.
Everything about Prune was fantastic! The wait staff was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to us throughout the full meal. The menu was fresh and exciting- I ordered the mussels and leek stew and my boyfriend ordered the branzino. We had broccoli on the side and all dishes were delicious. And I ca
We expected the spot to be exceptional - it is a haunter in many ratings and listings. And it is really good, actually. Bloody Mary is mind-blowing here, they gently serve it with a shot of beer. Pancake is a killer, delicious and nuuuutritious. A few things to consider - waiting time may exceed an
Went for brunch to this adorable spot on the first warm spring Sunday. The wait was about 30 minutes. I am STILL thinking about the Fresh Ricotta (pictured) served with merveille (a beyond delicious variety of donut with a perfectly fried exterior and warm and cakey inside). The ricotta was perfect-
Absolutely delicious. Best breakfast I’ve ever had. I had the eggs Benedict and the iced tea and it was so good. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I came here for breakfast and bought the $14 fried oyster omelette with a sweet remoulade sauce inside, served with a side of hot-sauce. The oysters were still crispy, the eggs were buttery and fluffy, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The only thing I did not like were the very tight quarte
First off, the Dutch-style pancake was the best I've ever had - a crispy, fluffy, slice of heaven! The brunch menu was unique and the dishes we had were delicious. The location is small and cute. Occasional waits for this trendy spot. Definitely would return to check out the dinner offerings.
Simple, elegant, and approachable. The beef broth not pictured here was my favorite. Great wine list for being short with lots of classic styled options and some Madeira to finish is always a plus. Service was prompt and casual.
Read the “The Kitchen is closed”; an essay authored by the owner of this restaurant in the New York Times. Haven’t been here before but I really hope this place opens again - would very much love to eat here if I’m ever in New York.
God I loved this place- lived on the very same block back in 2003- a different time with The Elephant, Chez ez Saada, the actual Hells Angels, and Prune was just perfect.
Finally made it to this well known Brunch spot. Small place but the food is good. I got the Monte Cristo. Your arteries will cringe, but it's worth a try.
We came here for a Sunday brunch. They take no reservations (for brunch), but we had no problem to get a nice table for three at around 10:15 am (they open at 10). Friendly and helpful staff. All food was handmade (with love), there is an open kitchen so you can see your food being prepared. Everyth
I’ve been interested in Gabrielle Hamilton since reading her book and looked forward to making this pilgrimage from London for a long time. It didn’t disappoint - the food was a exercise in simplicity. The fact is, nothing prepared so skilfully can really be called simple. Everything was executed p
Prune is a wonderful twist on a traditional Parisian-style bistro. The menu is not extensive, which is fantastic, because you know going in that they are able to focus on a few items and prepare them very well. The fried chik pea amuse bouche was simple and delicious. Rabbit kidneys were rich and de
