Momofuku Ssam Bar - New York City - Photo album

Visited in Aug 2023 Really great outlet/branch of Momofuku. Went with a couple of friends whose verdict was that this place is better than the Noodle Bar outlet. When you reserve or walk in, do note that the menu of “downstairs” and “upstairs” is different (~50-60% different). We chose to be downst
Probably the best dining experience I’ve ever had. The Ssam Set was great. The bread and spicy butter really set the tone for the flavors and quality of food to come. The Beginning course was a little on the spicier side, but the flavors were worth it. The Middle was full of amazing textures and sav
We always get top-notch service from the Momofuku team. Not only very professional and but very friendly and cool, too. Quality of the food is superb. Raw dishes and oysters are very fresh. There are many options for vegetables as well as meat dishes. Grilled Maitake mushrooms are so tasty, and shor
This place is great! Came here for dinner with a large group and the service was great. Obv, can't beat the location on a summer / early fall evening looking out into the East River with a view of the bridges - to die for! The food was pretty good. There were some very good dishes (fluke tartare, m
Went to Momofuku Ssäm Bar for a friend’s birthday, and it was worth it. Very nice ambient in the restaurant’s dining room, where we had the tasting menu. The service was excellent, and we had the sake pairing with the dinner, which was a nice addition. The food was very good. The initial dishes were
Amazing spot but a couple things can make it a bit awkward. Still 5 stars though. First, the ordering is a bit confusing because the dishes are designed to be shared, so it’s tough to get a feel for how much to truly order. Trust your server to help you here on the quantity. Second, I guess orderi
Beautiful waterside restaurant in Seaport, the view of the boats and the music from the concert venue upstairs gave it a truly unique vibe. The corn ribs were a must have, they're so light and the sauce was the perfect amount of tart that keeps you wanting more. My only regret was not coming hungry.
Had a wonderful dining experience here, special thanks to the staff. The ssam set was a good amount of food and frankly it ended up being too much for us after adding the potato wedges. The cocktails were really well prepared and rather strong. Would definitely come back, especially to sit by the wa
We really enjoyed the seaport incarnation of Ssam bar. Very interesting and tasty menu, plus a lovely outdoor patio.
We were excited to get our first experience of Momofuku, and it wasn’t disappointing. The oysters, the steak (essentially a Korean BBQ with lettuce wraps and the whole shebang), and the dessert with sesame and white chocolate, all so wonderful! The staff was courteous and professional. The heated pa
Their drink line-up was great and their plates were perfect for sharing. I wouldn't go for curing ahuge craving for korean food but I do think it's a fun place to gather with friends! * Drinks: all of these were infused with asian whiskeys or flavors like salted plum or sesame! My favorites were Sum
Initially we were a bit frustrated because it took 30m+ to get seated despite having reservations but they proactively had complimentary bubbles and a manager checkin - which in my mind is often sufficient to turning around a poor experience. Great ambiance, gorgeous restaurant and high quality foo
Unique selection of Japanese entrees by celebrity chef David Chang. They have a couple locations, and the new one was located down by the water. Their menu changes on a seasonal basis. If you like water/city views, chef inspired eats, and tasty cocktails, fine wines, and local beer, go here. Pictur
We came here for a celebration One waiter had real attitude while one was really nice We preordered the duck for 6 people and we has some starters which was way more than enough. And we shared two desserts. The duck and all the sides to make the wrap was amazing Desserts were a deconstructed che
Nice view + great flavours (which were yummy but non authentic) but the food was a bit salty. Cocktails are strong and p decent!
Was excited to try out David Chiang’s ssam bar. We were comfortably seated at the patio with heating on a cold night. We ordered a nice variety of appetizers plus 2 mains to be shared amongst the 5 of us. All the appetizers were extremely delicious. Hamachi with avocado squash, raw oysters with komb
