Veselka - New York City - Photo album

Super fast service! Food was tasty, quick, and hot. We stopped in for a quick bite before our flight and it did not disappoint. If you enjoy Slavic food this location is a must-try! Definitely going back for more!
I never come to NYC without a visit to Veselka. I am not being dramatic when I say I dream about their pierogies. This place is ALWAYS busy so be prepared to wait in line. However they turn the tables pretty fast and yet you never feel rushed. That’s an art form in itself. I’ve been coming here for
We ordered most of the different pierogi flavors and they really don't disappoint. My personal favorites would be the short rib & the sauerkraut/mushroom, though the classic and the cheese were fantastic too. The borscht was also terrific and the egg cream (though a bit of an acquired taste) was del
A bit pricey but the food tastes good. I like the flavoring of the borsh, the stuffing of pierogies, the dense texture of the cakes. I had the vegetarian plate delux, and it did come with tons of grain which I couldn't finish and packed. Tis my 2nd visit.
Borscht is awesome here! First I took a cup, and then ordered a bowl. Please add salo and garlic to the side. As for other dishes it actually tastes like it’s home made Ukrainian food that I used to eat visiting my grandmother. Wanted to specifically highlight the speed of serving people, it’s awes
First of all I wanted to support Ukraine in this awful and unfair war. I heard a lot about this restaurant and wanted to try authentic Ukrainian food. It was really delicious and amazing experience. Also they donate for Ukrainian people which was also very important for me. Glory to Ukraine! And loo
I tried their Chicken Paprikash (braised chicken over egg noodles) and was surprised by how much I liked it. The chicken was well-cooked, the flavour of the sauce was delicious, and the braised chicken went well with the egg noodles. The portion size was just right and the food was good value ($21 f
We went here on. Thursday at the end of October. We came for an early dinner since had not had lunch, I think we arrived around 5pm-ish. We were seated immediately at a requested outdoor table. Service was fast, food was ready quickly and was amazing! I had boiled potato Perogies which was serve
Excellent Pierogi, stuffed cabbage and Borscht. Short wait at 2p (20minutes) but main lunch crowd left. Ordered and in less than 7 minutes the meal came 😋❣️🎉 worth the wait. No rushing as I finished my 20oz glass of Orolon (Ukrainian beer).
Delicious, reasonably priced Ukrainian comfort food, Veselka is one of my favorite spots in the East Village. Their pierogi and latkes are the best. Great place to stop by on a weekday for breakfast or for brunch with friends and family on the weekend. Friendly and attentive wait staff, service is p
Went for breakfast. The food was delicious though my eggs were overcooked. We sat outside and our server was frankly disinterested in serving us. We were unable to get a single refill of coffee the entire meal.
Good breakfast. Pierogi’s were delicious. Our server was more concerned with eating and getting his tea than us. Potato pancake was cold.
This place is great. Went to support Ukraine and stayed for the delicious food. Meat borchsct is mind-blowing and the boiled potato pierogis with onions and sour cream are just as tasty. I could literally eat the potato pancakes every day and never get tired of them. Veal goulash and stuffed cabbage
Absolutely amazing food. Service could have been a bit faster. Definitely try the borscht and perogies
First rate hot borscht, a brothy stew really. First rate sauerkraut, beautifully spiced. And of course great pierogi. Kind attentive server, even if the place was not too busy.
Not the most tasty Ukranian food (Brighton Beach is better), but decent nonetheless. As all things Manhattan, pricey portions.
Really good food. Service could be a little better - felt a little pushy - but can’t fault the product. 10/10 recommend
