They served homemade style Italian cuisine in reasonable prices. Almost waiters are old as my old old uncle and they are really nice. On this honeymoon trip in the US, it was one of the best places for my wife and me from west to east.
Wonderful staff and atmosphere. Everyone so attentive. The zucchini blossom was heavenly. Everyone at our table had a great time. Will definitely go back.
A quaint family run Italian restaurant in east village with homemade pasta with excellent deserts with a variety of authentic Italian classics. A hidden gem with reasonable prices.
This place is exactly what I was looking for! Old school red sauce restaurant with incredible food and vibes. Sat at the bar, had a negroni before ordering then had the clams in red sauce, Bolognese and a glass of red wine, and some tiramisu. Can't get Italian food anywhere near this good in Indiana
Went there Sunday night, it was packed but luckily we found a table without reservations. There’s outdoor sitting and 2 floors inside. The appetizers we ordered were divine & the termiso was also amazing ! Also owner is Italian & it gives you sense of home cooking 🧑‍🍳 Enjoy!
An old school trattoria serving the traditional Italian dishes. The dishes are not family size but individual servings. The staff are friendly and attentive, the restaurant is clean and the food is delicious.
I stumbled across this gem a couple of weeks ago after a show at the Comedy Cellar. I asked the waiter, Daniel, for his recommendation and he suggested the beef short rib with the handmade gnocchi. One of the best meals of my life. The other server, Alyssa, was also lovely, and the atmosphere was k
I was wandering Soho looking for a place to eat and noticed this restaurant walking by. It was very empty when I walked in and I was seated at a small table by the bar. To start off, the restaurant itself is quaint and easy on the eyes. The music was more than perfect in regard to volume. It was tru
My family has been going here since the 50's and it's a staple for old school NY Italian food. We had the cold antipasti, chicken parm, veal parm, lasagna, and cannelloni. The chicken and veal parm were delicious and both served with side of pasta. The cannelloni was also great, stuffed with a chees
Omg. Not sure if it’s because I rarely eat Italian food or of this place is just heaven on earth, but you can taste the TLC that goes into preparing the magnificent food at this quaint upscale place in the heart of Greenwich Village. We visited on a recent food tour and sampled the pasta bolognese.
A small, noisy, and crowded Italian restaurant like it should be. The food was very tasty aspecialy the homemade pasta that was excellent and made as I like it. The appetizers and the desserts were very good as well. The only problem was that the service was a bit slow. At fair prices, the restauran
This is the best Italian food around. The flavors are so delicate and vibrant. The service is as great at the food. This is our go-to whenever we are in the area.
What a great place and the Italian presence from the staff is like being on the Sapranos. The food was fantastic. It's a bit of a wait, but it so worth it.
Excellent Restaurant! the Chef and waitress are very kind. Fresh and delicious Italian food, highly recommended 100%!!!
I was a little skeptical as we entered the restaurant, but the food we had was very good. The homemade pastas were excellent. The wine list was also much more reasonable than you would see in an Italian restaurant in Midtown.
Always good times at Monte's. Great atmosphere with good people and good food. It's been awhile since I've eaten here, stopped by since I was in the neighborhood for a bite to eat. Great seeing Peter and the staff who always shows me love. If you haven't been to Monte's, you are missing out on the
