Our server Zack was quite amazing as we enjoyed another sumptuous meal at this beautiful elegant upper West side establishment. The courses and additional supplements were incredible. We enjoyed the rabbit, crayfish, oysters, wine, and incredible choreography of presentation of delectable dishes.

We had a wonderful birthday experience dining in the Skybox. Everything was perfect; the food, service, view, and overall experience make this one of the best dining experiences anywhere. Thanks again.

The service is superb, from the moment they greet you to when they hail a taxi for you. The food is inventive and delicious. We opted for a four course meal with custom wine pairings. After a couple amuse bouche, we had the crab salad and lobster salad, the salmon and the sea bass, then the veal tenderloin and suckling pig. It was my birthday and I asked one of the servers for help deciding between almond tart with fig and the Noisette. The chef sent out both as a birthday treat! Chocolate lovers should pick the Noisette! My husband had their interpretation of blueberry pie. Then the after-dessert desserts came out, chocolates, a little pumpkin mousse bite, and hot madeleines. Everything was great. The only thing that was a slight hiccup was the salmon was a little strong for my husband. They offered to bring something else, but we asked that they just continue to not hold up the meal. There was plenty to eat- we were very full! The wine pairings were nice, but I wish they had been a little bolder. All in all, a great birthday dinner.

I’m thinking about the carrot veloute with Peekytoe crab. A cold carrot soup that is indescribably deep in flavour, showing off reasonably generous portions of crab, and slithers of carrot that are heavenly. Combining with the Premier Cru Beaune chardonnay (we got a half bottle), I am in my own little heaven.

There is the second ten out of ten course in a row for me with the squab (pigeon) cooked medium rare, crusted in oats, with the most astonishing barley risotto I have ever tasted. The first thing I tasted was that barley, and then the mushrooms, layer on layer of perfectly seasoned flavour making me metaphorically blush for my own attempts at risotto. Then there are the several types of mushrooms accompanying the pigeon, and the chicken jus that is drizzled by the waitperson in a seemingly frivolous manner, but is as important as any other element. The burgundy chosen by the charismatic sommelier tops off the combination but in reality the wine is a bonus.

Food was spectacular and there were lots of little added delights from the amuse bouche and canapes to stunning bread and butter to die for. Vegetarian tasting menu was powerful stuff which was a nice change. Service was excellent and staff friendly But in my opinion the exexperience was very overpriced.

I miss Daniel a lot. The food here was so good. I loved the environment of peace that they created here. it had such an upbeat feel that I did not want to leave. I wanted to stay around and bask in the beauty of this environment. The food was so delicious here. This place was also great for a bar as well. I usually do not like bars, but this place has one of the best bars I have ever seen. The place was designed so well and I thought it was so clean and pretty. The people working there ha a pride to them as well. It was a unique dining experience and it was a very positive one. I am a big fan of this place.

Opened in 1993 and relocated in its current location that was once Le Cirque in 1999, Daniel is the quintessence of what fine dining means: an incredible experience from beginning to end where hospitality has a real meaning. Some might be intimidated by the place and the omnipresent service, but the fact that it is not stuffy and very welcoming gives a different vibe to this culinary institution. There, Executive Chef Jean-François Bruel, Chef de Cuisine Eddy LeRoux and Executive Pastry Chef Ghaya Oliveira crafted sublime menu where you will not find classic dishes: no, it is more French inspired than typical French dishes, where ingredients like foie gras, Lapin (rabbit) or pigeonnau (squab) can be found. And if you are vegetarian, this is not a problem: they have a vegetarian menu.

The place is something special, from the moment you walk in to walk out, everyone is so nice! And the kindness of the waiters was a huge plus at a posh place like this

I love the lychee martini by the bar, and the tasting menu is one of the best in the world. Having frequented Michelin star restaurants, this place has the best food I have had in a long time and is better than most of the Michelin restaurants I have been to.

The tasting menu was so delicious, from the steak to the fish to the dessert. It was just perfect, and the waiters were so helpful with suggestions and so nice about making sure me and my partner had a wonderful dinner.

Must go restaurant in NYC and worth every dime!

This is a repeat for us to dine at Daniel.

I was trying to keep my anticipation in check because of our fabulous experience three years ago. Yet we were not disappointed.

The menu and the food were excellent with an astute recommendation for a pairing wine.

Although the restaurant was full and busy, we were looked after very well.

Yes, the final bill was quite on the high side for two persons, but for such fine dining, one can make the exception.

Booking is a must and highly desirable and don't forget the required high standard of dress.

Highly recommended.

I was recently on a business trip to NYC and aster watching this restaurant featured on a recent food blog I wanted to check it out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was already told the food would be pricey so I was not shocked but actually I thought the food was well priced. For the quality and great dishes, it was well worth it. I was very pleased I choose this restaurant and how pleased I was with the blog I read for such great information in helping guide me to such a awesome experience. I couldnt wait to come home and brag about this wonderful place and hopes someone else may have the chance to visit as I did for fine dining. Thank you

We loved this little side walk style cafe.  The food was so fresh and carefully made.  The staff were warm and friendly.  Everything was made to perfection.  We arrived after 1:00 and did not have to wait at all.  Based on others' reviews we went after the lunch rush.

Exceptional Service and Standard! High-quality food, excellent champagne, and outstanding wine! We are so pleased to say that Daniel made our dining experience one of the best ones. If restaurants had royalty Daniel should be the King of restaurants! The ambiance and the vibe are extremely positive, classy and relaxing! The restaurant was beautifully decorated. I will definitely go back and recommend it to anyone who can afford it. The waiters were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. A big thank you from Melbourne, Australia.

I have to say - it is still a dining experience and the food is top notch, there is no question. Here is my gripe however. This was our 3rd time here. We go for special occasions as it is pricey (this time for 3 ppl the bill was $670 with tip - no bottle of wine). The reason we went this time, and they knew it in advance, was for my mothers 90th birthday - which in my opinion, is remarkable. Daniel himself was there. He said hello and had a long conversation with the table of 2 next to us - it was her birthday. He then walked to the table on the other side of us, a party of 6, and spoke to them for a while, and from there he walked the room and spoke to some more guests. But not us. I have to say, being as it was my mom's 90th and we could have gone to a different top restaurant (though admittedly I love this one), I just felt that the staff could have made it a point to let him know as she would have felt special if he had said hello to her! The only thing they did was have her dessert plate say happy 90th birthday on it in. Nothing on the house of course... It made me feel - less than.

My friend and I like to treat ourselves to wonderful meals in the city. This year for our anniversary weekend, we chose Daniel as our "main event". We were there for Saturday night dinner. We arrived early and were greeted with a smile and seated at the bar/lounge until our table was ready. The bar woman and barman were both full of personality and made our time at the bar lots of fun. Not to mention the delicious cocktails!
We were seating before our reservation time and were thrilled with our table. The dining room is beautiful. They promptly brought me a velvet stool for my purse (bravo Daniel, great touch)! Our waiter, bread boy, sommelier, just everyone was a pleasure! I cannot say enough about the food. We chose the 4 course (as opposed to the 7), since we had been all over the city drinking and eating that day. Everything we ate was magnificent! My favorite, if I had to choose, was the foie gras! However, I LOVED everything I ate!
What I loved about the 4 course tasting, is you select what you want. Every course!!! Such a great thing!
So, we had 8 different plates and the tiny delectable morsels the kitchen kept sending out. There was not one thing we didn't like.
I have no negatives about this place! Im going to have to compare now, which I don't normally do but I am going to compare with Per se. I enjoyed every morsel I ate at Daniel, probably because I chose what I knew I would like. (at Per Se, its all set menu). The staff (and I mean everyone we came across) at Daniel was so warm and inviting and not at all stuffy! Made you feel comfortable and made the meal even more enjoyable. And they did this while still maintaining a professional, elegant and high standard of service. I did not have the same experience at other restaurants like this. From the first greeting to the final tour of the kitchen!
So, I say, Daniel is worth every penny and then some! Absolutely, lovely night out! Can't wait to visit again! Bravo to everyone at Daniel!

A truly elegant dining experience. Beautiful room. Outstanding attentive service. Perfect for that special occasion. On a scale of 1 to 5 for the actual food I would rate it a 4. There are other restaurants of this expense which have more breathtaking food. But as far as an overall evening of dining this is unforgettable.

Restaurant Daniel had a lot to live up to bring the No1 restaurant in NYC- It certainly did not disappoint! The service, the food and the restaurant itself were all superb. We had the 7 course tasting menu which at $250 is certainly not cheap but well worth it.

Review:

Ever since my interest in the New York City dining scene began about 5 years ago, it should come as no surprise that Daniel has been at the top of my wishlist. Led by a team of All-Stars in Jean François Bruel, Eddy Leroux and the masterful Head Sommelier Raj Vaisya, Daniel has earned its way to being known as one of the top restaurants in New York City and even the world.
As soon as I entered the restaurant I was taken back by the true elegance of Daniel. The dining room is absolutely the most beautiful of any restaurant I have been to. This is especially true around the holiday season. As I admired the decor from my table, situated in the corner of the dining room floor with a full view of the entire restaurant, the chef sent over complimentary champagne to welcome us. This was a very nice gesture and I was very pleased with its ice cold temperature as cold champagne is oddly enough not so easy to find. This was a great start to the evening. After being given some time to enjoy our champagne, our server Mynor, brought over the wine and cocktail list. Personally, I love when restaurants present the wine and cocktail list prior to giving you the dinner menu. As no one should be in a rush in such a restaurant, it's nice to take your time and extend what should be (and was) a memorable evening.
Looking over the wine list and eventually the dinner menu, rather than choosing a bottle for the table, I decided I'd like to put myself in the capable hands of the well-known and quite personable Head Sommelier, Raj Vaidya and go with the off-menu Reserve Wine Pairings. After placing our orders and discussing wine pairings with Raj, one of the most memorable meals of my life commenced.
First we were brought out a very creative canapé trio along with some of the best bread I've ever had. Bread selection is very important in a high quality restaurant in my opinion and the pastry staff at Daniel certainly excelled in this category. To go along with the canapés, Raj was kind enough to bring out another glass of complimentary champagne. This time it was a champagne blend which was actually exclusive to Daniel. Very cool.
Once having sampled some bread (a lot) and finished the canapés, Raj was back again with my first wine pairing, a lovely German Riesling. My first course of the Maine Lobster en Gelée soon followed. I was very happy I chose this new to the menu dish as my first course. It is prepared two ways and served in a plate seemingly made just for this dish. The surrounding bites of lobster were encapsulated in a lime flavored gelée and topped with a dollop of créme fraîche and fresh white sturgeon caviar, while the top lobster was presented over a flavorful mousseline of cauliflower. Excellent dish.
Next up was a surprise course of Hawaiian Kona Abalone courtesy of Chef de Cuisine Eddy Leroux. Raj was even kind enough to pour a wine pairing, an excellent white Burgundy to go with this fabulous dish. The coveted Abalone ended up being one of the highlights of the meal for me. With wonderful pacing to our meal, our next course was brought out. I chose the Flambéed Foie Gras which was presented and prepared tableside and had a terrific caramelized flavor to it. I wiped the dish clean with some crumbly brioche.
For my entree I chose the Veal "Orloff" with shaved white truffles from Alba. I had to jump on the last of season white truffles and I was glad I did. Raj chose to pair this with a powerful 1985 Gigondas. This course ended up being my favorite dish of the evening. The veal was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was encased by a gratin of Comté cheese. A first thought, is that the veal may be overpowered with such amazing flavors all around but it wasn't. Everything worked perfectly together with one flavor complimenting the other, and the topping of white truffles only made this dish even more enjoyable. This was truly a masterful dish.
After being given some time to digest, the cheese cart rolled over to our table by Daniel's knowledgeable Fromager Pascal Vittu. Pascal introduced himself and begin to discuss the cheese offerings. We allowed him to choose 4 cheeses, including both soft and hard for us to sample. Each were excellent and we were very happy with his choices.
For my final course of the evening I went with the Pecan dessert. The award winning Ghaya Oliveira turned out a masterpiece in this dessert. Both in presentation and taste, this was one of the best desserts I've ever had. Inside this truffle-like concoction is a praliné of pecan, chocolate and maple butter. Absolutely fabulous.
After settling the bill and being presented with a beautiful trio mignardises and housemade canelés, we were offered a tour of the kitchen. Daniel's kitchen is not like other kitchens I've been in. It seemed to be much less chaotic and even more quiet and controlled. After thanking Chef Eddy for a terrific meal, one of the best meals of my life came to an end. Now having been to all the 3-Michelin starred and top restaurants in NYC, with the exception of Masa, I can easily say that Daniel is up there with the best of them. It is a mystery to me why they lost both a Michelin Star and were demoted to 3 Stars by the NY Times. Daniel was perfect in every category I can think of and they excelled in making you feel special from start to finish. I can say with ease that as soon as you enter the restaurant, you know you're in for treat.

4/4 Stars.

Front start to finish the dining experience was near faultless. All dishes were executed with millimeter precision, and flavour combinations that would rival the best. The in house version if the Manhattan was superb with silky smooth combinations and quite possibly the largest ice block I have seen. After chatting with our server he sent over a gentlemen that was from our home town in Perth Australia so that was a nice touch. The only slip up was the confusion over the white asparagus dish. On paper it looked like an extra $32 if you include it with your meal but in fact it is $82 which we didn't find out until we received the bill. I'm sorry but as good as it was $82 for 6 pieces of asparagus is absurd. The server amended the price to reflect $32 which was appreciated.
To finish of the night we were asked on the way out if we required a cab and before we hit the street there was one waiting about 50m away, which we were escorted all the way too.

Phenomenal beauty. Impeccable service. Food as art.. My wife and I just had the opportunity to dine at the phenomenal DANIEL while celebrating my 40th birthday this past weekend in New York City. No words can truly describe our dining experience there.

Very nice, but..... ...I felt like it was prom night. Guests were taking pictures of each other and the food, waitstaff were taking pictures of guests (including one group immediately next to our table as we were trying to eat), and there were lots of blinding camera phone flashes. Oh, and there were several tables with bored and restless preschoolers.

If you enjoy fine dining and a nice elegant meal, go to Per Se. If you want that Times Square feeling, I guess Daniel is the place to be.

We both had the tasting menu with wine accompaniment. Food, with the exception of the bland peekytoe crab, met or exceeded expectation. We really liked the hamachi, the duo of beef, and the fennel ravioli. Wines were perfectly matched.

Service was mixed - one server was exceptional, the rest just OK. We could not understand the wine server, his deep French accent and rushed delivery left me scratching my head a few times.

Just a few other observations. We were seated 20 minutes late, without explanation. There is a nice bar area where you can wait and have a drink, which we enjoyed. The dining room is beautiful. As we moved into the second hour of the tasting menu, both of us wished the chairs had just a little more padding.

Overall, Daniel is a nice place for a large family gathering. Not so nice for a couple out for a romantic evening.

Superb. It has been 14 years since our first visit to this unbelievable restaurant. I must say it is as magnificent if not more so than I remember. We were treated to Daniel by dear friends who also enjoy fine wines which added to this over all fine dining experience. We spent six hours of sheer enjoyment there without once being aware or concerned about time. Daniel meets and exceeds the 3 key elements that are necessary in making dining at this level truly memorable.

Ambiance- Tasteful design by Adam Tihany. The tables are not too close, the colors are soft, yet warm. There is a sense of sleek elegance without being ostentatious.

Service- The service was impeccable and extremely accommodating.

Food- You don't get a 3 star Michelin rating and 4 stars from The New York Times for no reason. Everything we ordered was exquisite. Each plate is it's own masterpiece to be slowly savored through your eyes and through your palate.

Exceptional across the board. Grade: A

There’s a reason that Daniel is one of six restaurants in the city with four stars from the New York Times and one of seven establishments with three Michelin stars. Daniel Boulud’s crew earned them.

A combination of classical architectural features and more current art creates a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. When you come in and sit down, you’re happy to be there.

From the moment we arrived, the staff at Daniel was on top of their game. They had listened to our reservation requests, knew our needs, and fulfilled our desire for a table with a little intimacy. From the hostess to the waiter to other floor personnel, every person we encountered was professional and accommodating. This restaurant is tied for the best service we’ve ever had.

The food was exceptional and demonstrated skill and caring in its conception and execution. Part of the amuse bouche was a small serving of hummus topped with piquillo pepper. I’ve never had a chickpea puree so smooth, and the red pepper gave it a whole new level of life.

Starting with the appetizers, my wife’s watercress velouté with morel mushrooms and Louisiana crayfish was clean, smooth, and very satisfying. The foie gras with poached red plum beckoned me and it did not disappoint. Too often chefs err on the side of caution and undercook foie gras, but this was perfectly prepared. Without question, this is the best I’ve ever had.

Among the specials was one appetizer, a “celebration” of white asparagus from Provence that we split as an additional course. Three warm spears were served with a rich Dijon mustard egg dressing. The accompanying chilled asparagus velouté with iberico ham was delicate and brought out the best flavor of asparagus, one not too mild or strong.

My wife’s duck breast with rhubarb, radishes, glazed turnips was beautiful and a Szechuan pepper Jus provided a perfect complement to the bird’s richness. My slow baked black sea bass with a syrah sauce accompanied by pommes dauphine and stuffed leeks was very good and was served as a nice sized portion.

Our desserts, grapefruit for her and coffee ice cream for me, were augmented with several treats and chocolates, including a small chocolate cake topped with gold leaf.

Coming to Daniel is a decision I’m very, very happy we made.

A symphony of (Michelin) stars. Yo-Yo Ma is playing Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major (Prélude). I walk into a room that radiates style and substance. It was only when I sat down did I realise that there was no music in the background. The goose bumps on my arms - the room did that all by itself. I am at Daniel, one of New York's most revered restaurants and my first ever three star Michelin adventure.

An ordinary danger of a "party for one" (as they say in the US) is that 'the one' is more often than not settled into a corner. Not tonight. I spent the most electric evening in the company of great food, excellent service, and had the best seat in the house.

I am in New York; the city that demands single women order a Cosmopolitan. But the latest Sex And The City movie has left me disgusted and I could not bring myself to pay tribute to the TV series. The White Cosmopolitan (Vodka, Elderflower Liquor, Lime Juice, White Cranberries) at $19 is a delicious compromise. Its served in a martini glass with a giant ice cube decorated with frozen orchids. The show has definitely begun.

I opted for the 3-course Prix Fixe menu ($105). The sommelier helped me choose two reds that would be perfect with the scallops and beef I ordered. I started with the Louis Jadot Beaune, 1er Cru, 1999 ($25) and went on to the Californian Ridge Santa Cruz Mountain Estate ($25). Both wines were completely luscious.

I am not sure if it was cleavage or charisma but something worked and what followed (instead of standard 3 courses) was a symphony of "with compliments from the chef". I am no food critic and I would much rather eat the meal than describe the ingredients but I have to make an exception this time. Here is what I was served:

- Amuse Bouche 1: A trio of beet including roasted yellow beet and beet cured octopus

- Amuse Bouche 2: Clams with horseradish and pineapple

- Amuse Bouche 3: Crab salad with Persian cucumbers and sesame coulis

- First Course: Hazelnut crusted scallops with morels, Swiss chard & pink peppercorns

- Amuse Bouche 4: Sesame crusted cod with asparagus tempura

- Second Course: Duo of Beef: Black Angus Short Ribs and Wagyu Tenderloin

- Third Course: A selection of 5 cheeses included my favourite Époisses de Bourgogne

- Surprise Dessert 1: a strawberry soup with strawberry sorbet and strawberries

- Surprise Dessert 2: freshly baked madeleines

- Surprise Dessert 3: a selection of 6 gorgeous petit fours including a pistachio macaron

And as a bonus, my request to meet the chef was rewarded with a tour of the kitchen. Oh the joy!!! Even though patron Chef Daniel Boulud was in the house, the five minutes I spent with Executive Chef Jean Francois Bruel were far more inspiring than the several minutes Chef Daniel spent at all the important tables.

For several reasons, starting with holiday remorse, I had to force myself to go out this evening. There is much to be said about working from the inside out. Tonight, I had to work from the outside in and discovered that it works just as well. So go on, be your best sexy and watch the world smile for you.

The best lamb ever.. Food - 9/10, Service - 4.5/5, Ambience - 4.5/5, TOTAL - 18/20.

We had the 8 course tasting platter and it was definitely well worth it. Between the two of us, we had different dishes each so that we didn't share the same dishes. There was heaps of food and when you thought it was finished, another surprise would come out. I'm pretty sure I counted more than 8 dishes.

The lamb was the highlight of the meal. The both of us aren't lamb lovers but this dish was magnificent. The flavours were like a party in your mouth and the lamb literally melted. The service was exceptional and extremely attentive. I loved the little touch of a complimentary dessert dish to celebrate our anniversary and a menu to take home as a souvenir. The menu actually had on there, Happy Anniversary.

There is no doubt I made the right decision.
My wife and I tend to shy away from Michelin starred restaurants when traveling and usually opt for more a casual atmosphere and simple cuisine. The pomp and stiffness of Michelin recognized restaurants can be exhausting. But for a special occasion we really wanted to dress to the nines and feel pampered. Daniel fulfilled this desire but also felt welcoming and comfortable. And the dining room is a knockout. Elegant, classic and modern at the same time.
To be honest, I would not rank the meal at the top of my list but there were a couple of dishes that rank pretty high and nothing was a disappointment. And the wine pairings were excellent. That's not to say it isn't amazing food.
But the sum of Daniel is greater than it's parts. And as someone who ordinarily puts food before all other consideration, I honestly believe that.
Someday I'd like to try eating in the bar and sampling some more of the menu. Or maybe find another occasion to splurge.

A favorite in NYC. Daniel is assuredly one of the best restaurants in the United States and provides a dining experience comparable to any Three-starred restaurant in Europe. One of our most memorable meals was a truffle-tasting menu and blessedly, we were the very first to sample the delicacies for the new truffle season. What a heavenly experience it was when the waiter brought a truffle the size of a baseball to our table and unleashed a cascade of fragrant flakes before our eyes. Each of the eight thoughtfully prepared dishes was ceremoniously and gloriously showered with beautiful, white slivers from heaven. Though we more appropriately should have had an older Barolo or Barbaresco with our meal, Daniel has such a wonderful, reasonably priced Burgundy collection, we opted for a '96 Roumier Bonnes Mares. Pure sensory overload! What made the meal even more special was Chef Boulud coming to our table and chatting with us for 15 minutes or so. He was extremely personable and seemed to sincerely enjoy our dining at his establishment. We have never been so warmly and genuinely welcomed. Monsieur Boulud is a gem.

All the waitstaff were impeccably dressed in a suit, white shirt and tie and exemplified professionalism. We had two waiters who came out and simultaneously set down our dishes for every course. One would not set down a plate without the other. Everything was timed. These waiters knew everything there was to know about the food, could answer our questions and make recommendations. Their mannerisms were distinguished. I cannot praise the service enough. These guys are the professionals.

“Daniel by Daniel Boulud reigns supreme as one of my favorite restaurants in the world. The famed French restaurateur’s namesake location is a New York staple and one of five three-Michelin star picks in the city. Reservations are usually booked four-months in advance, so you may need to call in a favor or two to score a table for Valentine’s Day. Everything from décor to ambiance to service to presentation to taste is exactly what you want in the ultimate dining experience. I wouldn’t call it romantic per say, but on the other hand, what’s more romantic than a date who knows how to feed you right?”

We knew that we were in for a special treat when we arrived at Daniel, which is in a very unassuming (but still posh) building on the Upper East Side, the only indication that it's a restaurant is some unobtrusive singing out the front and a revolving door that had the glass frosted, so you couldn't see inside from outside. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and informed that the dining room was not yet open and asked if we would care for some drinks at the bar while we waited.

Josh had the tasting of veal with rare roasted tenderloin with eggplant puree, amazing braised cheeks with glazed zucchini and crispy sweetbreads with caper caponata (which was hastily remade when B knocked water onto Josh’s plate). The sweetbreads were ‘unfortunately’ a bit daunting for Josh, so I helped him out by finishing them.

If you don't want to read in length - bottom line sums it up Multi-course dinners often run the risk of becoming too long, the food too sophisticated and the guests too tired. An upscale restaurant is charged with the impossibly hard task of having a grand yet inviting and comfortable room, good food paired with impeccable service and an overall wow factor.

We had a great experience at Daniel! While we are not new to fine dining, this was our first Michelin star experience. We loved the food, appreciated the extra courses brought out & especially loved the carefully selected wine pairings. The service wasn’t perfect - it took a long time from being seated to receiving menus and ordering drinks. We had been at the table for 45 min before we were finally able to order anything. We had a late reservation, so I think they were just overwhelmed when we arrived. The service did drastically improve after we placed our order. I highly recommend the 4 course option, as my partner and I each chose different dishes and were able to taste a ton of different dishes between the 2 of us. We left extremely full!

I absolutely love coming here for my December vacation. The food is always great. Service is always fantastic. I like how it's always different. The last time I came, the bread was shaped like a crab. This time, they had different types of bread to choose from. We walked out stuffed, and we only did the 4 course!

Daniel is one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life. I went with my girlfriend for our anniversary. We had the mindblowing tasting menu, which included 7 courses, and a whole assortment of other dishes and desserts they surprised us with. At the recommendation of a friend, we decided to do the wine pairing and share it between the two of us. That was easily more than enough, given how many dishes there were. Each wine complemented their corresponding dish perfectly. The waiters were even kind of enough to top our glasses up even when we didn't ask for it. Topnotch service. They were also very attentive, folding our napkins if we left the table and helping us to push our seats in when we sat down. By the end of the meal, we were both completely stuffed. They kept giving us more food and desserts that were not listed on the menu. We were also definitely feeling the effects of the wine pairing we split. I don't even know how someone can do a single wine pairing on their own. It's way too much alcohol. My biggest pet peeve with fine dining is it's often not filling. But Daniel was so worth its high cost. Their tasting menu changes every season, so I definitely plan to come back for another amazing dining experience.

My fiancee and I celebrated my birthday and our recent engagement here. They gave us a sofa table (only 4 of them in restaurant) The sommelier was knowledgeable of the wines and gave us great recommendations to match the menu. Our waiter's service was beyond first class. He ensured our wine glasses were always filled, and our food came out in a timely manner. We had the tasting menu and everything was presented well and delicious. We had our selections of bread to go along with the meal. By desert, we were full already. As my first time going to a two star Michelin restaurant, it did not disappoint and it was a once in a life time experience. I did not know fine dining until I came to Daniel

Everything was absolutely amazing and beyond expectations! The foie-gras was the best one I’ve ever had. Immense selection of cheeses with refreshing cocktails made by undoubtedly professional bartenders. No need to mention the service cause everyone knows they are the best! ✨✨✨

Absolutely fantastic. The bread buns are delicious, each with their own unique texture and taste. The courses were excellent and so was the wine pairing. I love the foie gras and the duck dish. I also love the corn theme swordfish dish too. The desserts were beautiful and delicious. They even gave us mini Madeleines. Highly recommended, I would absolutely dine here again.

The experience was truly unforgettable. I hadn't set high expectations for the place or the food, but I was blown away. The service was exceptional – a cohesive and knowledgeable team. Our server had been there for an impressive 15 years! Opting for the 4-course prix fixe menu with premium wine pairing exceeded all expectations. The wines were paired exquisitely with our dishes; special mention goes to the champagne that arrived as a palate cleanser. The food itself was a work of art, bursting with flavor and evident attention to detail and quality. The dessert, a sorbet dish, was a revelation – its unique preparation led to an explosion of flavors in your mouth. As a delightful surprise, they treated us to an additional cake (a mini masterpiece) to celebrate my partner's birthday. It was both visually stunning and decadently delicious. Kudos to the Pastry chef, but honestly, the entire team at Daniel deserves applause for creating an exceptional and truly unforgettable dining experience. I awarded the atmosphere 4 stars, with no reflection on Daniel's part. The dining room offers an open setting, but unfortunately, due to a boisterous table of women, many of us experienced some visible discomfort. The volume of their conversation and screeching was quite noticeable.

I recently had the immense pleasure of dining at Daniel in New York City for the third time, and I can confidently say that it is the best restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a truly remarkable dining experience. The service at Daniel is nothing short of perfection. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism that set the tone for the entire evening. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. One of the standout features of Daniel is their tasting menu and wine pairings. The culinary creations that came out of the kitchen were nothing short of incredible. Each dish was a work of art, expertly crafted and presented with utmost care. The variety of flavors, textures, and ingredients showcased the chef's creativity and expertise. The wine pairings were impeccable, elevating each course to new heights. The sommelier's recommendations were spot-on, enhancing the flavors of the dishes and complementing them perfectly. It was evident that a lot of thought and expertise had gone into curating the wine list to match the exquisite menu. The ambiance at Daniel is elegant and refined, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion or a memorable night out. The attention to detail in the decor and table settings added to the overall dining experience. Daniel in NYC is a culinary gem that consistently delivers a world-class dining experience. From the impeccable service to the extraordinary tasting menu and wine pairings, it's a restaurant that sets the bar high for fine dining in the city. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in New York, Daniel should be at the top of your list. It's no wonder that I keep coming back for more – it truly is an amazing place.

Unbelievable good high-end dining experience. The dining room is stunning. The service was absolutely amazing, the food spectacular. 4 course Prix fixe plus drinks for 2 of us was US$650 but you it’s not every day you find yourself in NYC without small children!!
