Best Breakfast in the heart of New Orleans! I had the crab cake eggs Benedict (in picture) with the Double berry French toast with diced potatoes (so yummy I forgot to take a picture 😋) & Strawberry lemonade was my drink of choice. Food is so tasty and well worth the price. Friendly service from staff. Very nice decor w/ outside seating. Definitely going back.

Kicked off our weekend in NOLA at Freddie's Chicken & Waffles! We ordered shrimp and grits and the seafood omelette. Absolutely delicious! Best shrimp and grits i ever had in my lifetime!! The owner stopped by our table, nice touch and Kareem was an excellent server!!!! Excellent food and service 🙌!

On lunch break we went specifically for chicken and waffles and were surprised to find options of toppings. We chose strawberries and chocolate chip. Has has a good atmosphere and friendly service. We were in and out with an exactly an hour.

This place was a good breakfast stop while in N.O. The owner himself makes himself available to help out they staff and made it a point to speak with every table that was occupied at the time. Food definitely met the standards. Only thing I would like to see is a few more menu options. 5 stars from my wife and I.

I visit Freddie's Chicken N' Waffles in July 2022 . My hotel was around the corner and I walked past and they were closing. The next morning I got up early. I had the fried strawberry pancake. This place is a hiding gem best breakfast in town. Never ever tasted great breakfast like this. I only eat breakfast at Freddie's Chicken N Waffles my entire stay. The wait time was slow and the waiter was busy but had a great attitude. Food is cooked at the time you ordered it and was worth the wait. My friend had the fried chicken and waffles and she said that it was good. My favorite is the strawberry fried pancake delicious!!! If I every return back to NO I would visit again. My own relatives who live in NO did not even know about this place!

I didn't get to try breakfast (though I heard it was awesome), but we got them to open for my company's team of 15 people while there for a work trip. They usually only serve dinner Thursday through Saturday, but we were able to have a sneak-preview of the Essence Week menu on a Monday night. The food was outstanding, and the portions were huge! We all agreed that half the portion sizes would have been more than enough, but we still ate nearly all of the food brought to us throughout 5 courses. If you have a chance to go here for dinner, you will NOT be disappointed. I wish I had taken a few pictures, but as it was a work dinner, I had my phone put away and wasn't thinking about it. Our first course was a choice between two empanadas, second course was a choice between an OUT OF THIS WORLD corn & crab bisque or gumbo (which was a meal in itself), third course was a summer salad, our fourth course/entree course was a choice between half of a chicken or surf & turf (there was actually a 3rd option, I don't remember what it was, but I did the surf & turf and it was phenomenal). And the dessert course was a delicious blueberry waffle confection that I didn't think I had room for, and proceeded to finish. I am giving five stars for the awesome service, array of options (especially given one person was cooking for 15 -- we could have had fewer options and been just as happy!), and delicious food.

Amazing! Super friendly staff, great food, huge portions, reasonable prices. I had the opportunity to eat their 5 course dinner and everything was exceptional, the highlight for me were the cajun empanada, crab bisque, and dessert "ravioli." My only complaint is that I was so full I could barely walk out of there. I didn't get the chance to get there for dinner, but after I talked it up, my friend went for breakfast and told me it was the best waffle he had ever had. Go. You will definitely not be disappointed.

The chicken and waffles are the best!! I haven't tried anything else. I ate there twice and ordered the same dish both times. This place is a hidden gem! Customer service is good. The only issue I have is that it took way too long to get our food... However, I DO feel like it's worth the wait and reasonably priced! Try it!

Fantastic locally owned little place with amazing food! We went in with a big group of people for lunch and the owner and employees helped us put together a big table. Most of us got the special (half po' boy with gumbo) but a lot of people got omelets or waffles and everyone in our group loved their food. Some of us went to another place close to our hotel the next day and wish we'd have gone back to Freddie's.

I ordered a Cobb salad to go and, as the place was packed, told it would take 20 minutes or so. When the man who took my order saw my grimace, (I had to be back to my conference soon) he said he would go make it for me himself. I don’t know if he was Freddie or not, but he sure Provided excellent service. He brought me the salad in eight minutes and it was the bomb. The fried chicken was perfect, the tomatoes bacon and cheese We’re all fresh and there was plenty of it. I can see why this is such a popular place.
