Checkpoint Charlies - New Orleans - Photo album

The service at Check Point Charlie was top-notch. The bartenders were not only skilled but also passionate about their craft, engaging guests with stories behind the drinks and ensuring each creation was not just a beverage but an experience.
A raised game room that can look down to a sunken barroom. Very spacious. Ran into one guy who grew up 45 minutes from me in Upstate New York, then two girls from Romania. You never know where friendly chi chat can head. Ordered some wings to tie us over and they were cooked crisp like we asked.
While not cold-war Berlin, this place certainly designates leaving one sector and entering another. If it Twilight Zone had an amusement park, you'd pass through the doors of checkpoints to get in line. After living in this neighborhood for 20 years, I can tell you that it is always interesting at
The finest experience for the lowest price in New Orleans. 5 star dining atmosphere, luxury cocktails ,and the cleanest bathrooms. They even have laundry facilities and a game room rivaling Dave and Busters. You won't be disappointed! 🙃
A fabulous bar. Local crowd, tourists are scared by the loiterers outside, lol. I don't know about the food, we did not eat, but drinks are cheap and the bartender came straight out of a movie. If you're lucky and he likes you, he might even get his guitar and improvise a blues.
Definitely a must-see, must-stop, must- drink, must-experience destination while visiting NOLA. Situated on the cusp of French Quarter & The Marigny, this venue exudes the epitome of friendly & welcoming vibe you wish for from the locals. Ice cold beer with a nice draught selection, & cocktail
One of those Nola bars you have to experience. Awesome bartender. Bar characters straight out of Confederacy of Dunces. A very entertaining place.
This is a staple in New Orleans bar scene. I wish that the place was ran a bit different. And I'm not saying that I know better, I just remember checkpoints being a safe haven for travelers and musicians and tourists all the same, no matter what, and I honestly have to say that sometimes, it d
Laundry and home bums. Who could ask for more. Fix the pinball machine please. And more local music!
Didn't eat during this trip. This is a dive bar with interesting characters. Knowledge and friendly bat tender.

Such a cool place! How many bars can you go to, have a drink and listen to music while doing your laundry? This is the place!
Fantastically fun bar. It's open 24/7 and their rules are good ones: - Wash your hands - Watch out for one another - Respect the employees since their job is constant Their sign says the bartender is always right. At least while I was there, I felt that way completely. They're always right. It's t
This is a beautiful picture of the Nola nightlife. The tourists go down to Bourbon Street, those who like the party life and the music come down the Frenchman Avenue. Checkpoint Charlie's let you know that you're almost there. Yes they have a bathroom but you have to have some real Moxie in your sho
Chill place. Great chicken nuggets and cheese fries. Open 24 hours and you can do your laundry here. Amazing.
