Based on the four Vietnamese appetizers and soup we had delivered, we were quite pleased. Also, most of the menu seemed to cater to every neighborhood American-Chinese palette – that one can get anywhere else – for the quick Asian-inspired comfort food that we also crave from time to time. We would definitely go back for the Vietnamese fare.

One of my favorite places to eat. The restaurant is clean. The service is fast and accurate. The location is safe, and in an area set for a nice night out.
I visited here for dinner today and I will definitely be going back. The atmosphere of the place is cozy since it's not very big or brightly light, but you get a sense of upscale as well. The great artwork on the walls as well as the attention paid to the small details gives it a sort of fancy and craftsmanship feel. For example the crown molding covering the entire restaurant helps ties things together while the solid wood chairs and tables are much better for the aesthetic. I ordered the General Tao's chicken, with pork fried rice and Chinese egg rolls. Everything was delicious specially the chicken since it wasn't heavily breaded to give off the illusion of bigger portions, as some places do. I would bring a date here, have a lunch meeting, meet my parents for lunch, it's suitable for several occasions.
I've ordered take out from here a bunch of times and always thought it to be delicious. My first time dining in, and I'm impressed. Very clean, nice tables and chairs and decor. Our server was very polite and welcoming. It was a great meal. Tried something new, too.
THE FOOD: Started with Chinese egg rolls, which I LOVE!!! The in-house hot mustard kicks butt! The heat just pops in your nose..love it. The egg rolls are fat and crispy and burst with flavors of cabbage and veggies and pork.
I tried fried tofu for the first time. Very bland on its own, the sauce is also mild. Little slices of red and orange peppers don't add much. It was good the next day mixed with other leftovers.
My entree was Kung pao beef. Disappointed because it was not spicy at all. Added some hot mustard to give it kick. The beef was tasty.
My girlfriend had Sweet and sour chicken. Which was great. Chicken was moist and coating was good. She also had fried rice which is always good.
This place is close to Touro hospital. Service is prompt and efficient. When we go there during our lunch break we are assured that we will make it back to the clinic on time. The food is cooked to order and constantly very good.

No MSG! I absolutely love their shrimp Lo mein noodles. It works well with my pescatarian lifestyle. I usually ask for extra onions and shrimp. It’s walking distance from Touro and they offer free delivery to the hospital entrance on Prytania if you order at least $12. I’ve also had their steamed crab rolls. You definitely can’t go wrong by eating here.
The yang chow rice is perfect. The grilled chicken was very good. The fried bananas with honey was a little different. It was fried like a spring roll. Avoid the combinations. Order Ala Carter. It's more expensive that way but much better.
Great. Everything was delicious. We live close by and had to have our order delivered because we were sick. Great experience 🤗
This is such a great spot! My go to for asian takeout now, they have plenty of seating inside too though. You really can taste the difference, it does taste fresh and delicious. Spring rolls were good, mandarin chicken was nice and tender with a great garlic honey, curry-esque sauce. I was a little skeptical of their pad thai actually being that good, but it is! It's surprisingly awesome! Really nice staff too. I'll be back for sure!
Food is amazing here. Egg rolls are different than what I am used to but still good. Delivery is pretty fast. I have become a regular in my short time moving to this area.

Always good food, especially the crab rangoons and egg drop soup. The waitress is always nice and kind. She never ever gets your order wrong - memory is on a thousand! Love this gem. I come from the Westbank specifically for their cuisine, wish they'd share with them so the food would be better tasting.
Amazing food and quick service , we had a large crowd but that did not slow service down.

I first came to August Moon 20 years ago with my grandmother. The service was great and the food was authentic and delicious. Nothing has changed.

I have been getting food from August Moon for years and years! Recently sometime in the last few years, they end Vietnamese dishes to the menu which is made a huge difference. I now order from that menu mostly. But recently I took a walk on the wild side and ordered eggrolls and some kind of tofu dish it was also delicious. I think this place just keeps getting better. It seems of f drearyy to dine in there but it’s takeout is excellent and they come quickly too. I always just call them up and iuse their delivery guy rather than get a service to do it. People are very very nice and the food is just so yummy and well priced those looking for truly authentic Chinese cooking might be disappointing to this place but it’s fine for me Virginia Lee the Gerald chose chicken and that tofu dish I had last time. I also have the Szechuan eggplant so it could be a little hotter. Little spicier. That said, sometimes I just get an order of Chinese eggrolls and an order of dumplings and that’s it it’e a wonderful meal!
