Felix's Restaurant And Oyster Bar

The oysters were delicious and the red beans and rice were great. I ordered the crab cakes, which I’ve had before, and they tasted very fishy. I had the rest of our party taste them and they agreed. We asked the waitress and she did ask the kitchen about them and they said they were made fresh this morning. I won’t order them again! However as I said the rest of the food and our waitress were great!

Felix's Restaurant and Oyster Bar. Crab Dip (comes with house made pastry chips that are very light/airy/crispy) This is a warm dip with cream cheeseand spices with crab.... yum. Bayou Sampler (Red Beans & Rice, Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee), Red Beans have a smooth and smokey flavor that's so enjoyable. The jambalaya is creole jambalaya... a little on the spicy side with tomato flavor and small pieces of shrimp and meat. A little dry, but still enjoyable. The Etouffee flavors were spot on, but only four and a piece of crawfish. This would go great over a big piece of fried or stuffed catfish. My personal favorite was the red beans. Grilled Gulf Shrimp with Crispy Brussel Sprouts (crispy brussel sprouts,  toasted pecans, cajun seasoning,  Balsamic glaze) These are so flavorful! and Asparagus & Sugar Snap Peas (roasted Asparagus in garlic and herbs) Shrimp was to perfection. Not overly spiced or cooked. Server brought hot sauce put to the table, but we didn't need any... the chefs made it right for us, no substitutes or changes. The New Orleans Bread Pudding with whisky sauce was delicious! They don't mess it up with fruit. Thanks Felix's for not putting raisins in your bread pudding. It was great... Locals probably know the place well. A few tourists maybe frequent Felix's. We're just visiting again, so we have to keep trying a new place each visit. This wasn't a disappointment. Good comfort food and company. Hospitality. Relaxing. You can rush if you must, and they'll help you get on your way. No worries. Mmm

I recently had the privilege of dining at Felix's, and it was a culinary journey through the depths of the lake that left me utterly spellbound. At the heart of this enchanting gastronomic experience stands Chef Joshua whose expertise is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I knew I was in for a seafood adventure like no other. The ambiance exuded a coastal charm, with a hint of elegance that set the perfect stage for what was to come. However, it was the cuisine itself that truly stole the show, and that is a testament to the incredible talent of the head Chef Joshua.

Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar is a great place to go for fresh seafood and a lively atmosphere. The oysters are delicious, and the Creole staples are also very good. I highly recommend the chargrilled oysters and the red beans and rice. The service is also excellent, and the staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend Felix's to anyone looking for a great seafood meal in New Orleans.

Everything about our experience at Felix’s was amazing. All our food was delicious and our server Susie was so sweet. We went there for happy hour and eat all the oysters we could. Seriously their chargrilled oysters is now my favorite in New Orleans. The raw oysters were so fresh. The Rockefeller was good but found out they were included in happy hour menu. Only wish they had special cocktails menu for Happy Hour.

I love the environment of this restaurant, staffs are welcoming, background music is very calming. The blackened alligator was so good, highly recommended. Oysters are very fresh and tasty, I enjoyed them a lot. Make sure you go during their happy hour, Mon-Fri 3:00PM-6:00PM to get half price on all starters and house wines. I went in at around 3:30, it wasn’t crowded at all and I got a seat with a view. Server was very nice, friendly approachable. She came to my table multiple times to check on me. They deserve a 5 star and a napkin folded rose!
