This restaurant got us to leave another one to come back….
We arrived in New Orleans. A friend of a friend recommended this place. It was near our Airbnb and so we thought we’d give it a try. We are so incredibly glad we did.
The first night we got the chef’s salad, salmon deviled eggs, fries and octopus. The second night we came to eat, we reordered the chefs salad and tried the pork noodle dish with truffle cream sauce. Everything was spectacular. Special shout out to the chefs salad Dijon mustard dressing, the pickled veggies and the octopus! The food was flavorful, beautifully presented and totally worth the price.
We also got amazing drinks (please try the she left me one read!) and wine (the Provence Rose they had was top notch).
I’ve talked a ton about the food but I can’t forgot the service. Sarah was our amazing server both nights. She was charismatic, had great taste in food (even recommended an amazing breakfast place for us) and simply entertaining. We also had the pleasure of talking with Lindy…another amazing server.
Overall, this restaurant is delicious. It’s a must try. The porch dining, the ambiance, the food and the drinks are perfect. I’m sad that we are leaving tomorrow and can’t return for a third night.

Honestly the beignet dessert was a highlight! The most light, airy, and fluffy beignets and when paired with the mouse- delightful! I love deviled eggs and salmon but this smoked salmon deviled eggs appetizer did not do it for me- too fishy so I wouldn’t recommend that. Although the french fries were great with the aioli, the peanut sauce was interesting. Not sure it fully worked but an interesting experience. The veggie risotto was satisfying but honestly the dessert is the real reason I’m going with 5/5. Also our server was extremely sweet!

Came for happy hour stayed for dinner. You will love this place!!! Pomme Frites, great wine, deviled eggs, charcuterie and pasta. Presentation was very artistic and appealing throughout. Relaxed on the front porch and enjoyed phenomenal service from an engaging staff. Very extensive wine list. This will be our go to wine bar in one of our favorite neighborhoods in NOLA.

Cute little gem! Service is good. Menu has a variety. Croquet Monsieur was excellent! Lots of cheese! Salad was amazing, lots of different ingredients. Goose fat fries taste like Paris!

Dog friendly patio ! They even brought my dog an extra large biscuit and water dish - as if he was served his own lunch with ours. Too cute! The salad ‘Chef’s Choice’ was amazing. The muscles and grilled cheese were also enjoyed at the table.

I went to this place with a big group on a Sunday night. It was empty to be expected.
I thought the drinks were great, my mojito was one of the best I've had in the city. However, I thought the food was very average. The menu is not too big so I was able to try a bit of everything and to be honest each dish was a bit disappointing.
I ordered the pasta with pork in white sauce. The pasta was rich and flavorful however the pork was dry and bland. The shrimp risotto was again okay, the shrimp were not cooked particularly well, a bit chewy if you ask me. The mussels were well cooked and seasoned but definitely not spectacular.
I do appreciate the prices, much fairer than similar restaurants in this area, however, after living in New Orleans for a few years I can safely say that there are many better choices for an upscale dinner even if you're forced to spend a few more dollars. I will however be back for the drinks, particularly for happy hour from 3-5 on Wednesday-Sunday.

The food and wine are always good. The reason I knocked a star down was that it was surprisingly warm inside. It could have been that the AC wasn’t working properly but it made the experience as a whole a bit uncomfortable.

Cutest building and patio when it's nice out. Shared the whole fish with my family plus some sides and a bottle of wine and it was 10/10. Great New Orleans experience.

Highly recommend coming here for happy hour or half off wine and snacks. It's a great way to try wines you wouldn't normally order. Their fries are very good.

Really good! Thanks to the road construction on St Charles we ended up driving past a few times, each time saying "look at all the people, that must be a good place." And it was! Friendly service and a chat with the people at the table next to ours made it a memorable evening.

We ordered the fries, lamb sliders and a bottle of wine. The food was incredible and the ambience was great. They have a perfect little patio for a nice drink with friends or an intimate date. They have a good selection of dishes, and we will definitely be returning.

Just enjoyed a wonderful brunch with a large group of friends! Everything was great! We all shared the fries, and they were amazingly flavorful and crisp, with house-made condiments. My quiche was perfect--- tender crust, a sweet note from the mushrooms, and the kale was flash-fried (I think?) before being incorporated into the mixture so it added an unexpected but welcome crisp texture. For dessert, we had incredibly tender, sweetly-spicy blueberry mini-muffins that melted in your mouth, like no other muffin I have ever had!! Service was on-point, especially for a big group.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful but on a noisy busy street.
We enjoyed the poached seafood salad, the bruschetta was tasty but dried out. The cheese plate was en pointe! Loved it!
Our server seemed disappointed that we split our order, we didn't have our own carafe of yummy cucumber and lemon water like every other table had. We asked for ice three times before we got it. The prosceco was warm.
I wanted to love this restaurant but Cafe Degas is still my first love for this type of food and romantic dinner.

Owned and operated by wine brokers. Impossible to order a bad glass of wine here even at $5. That's the real secret. Food made by real chefs. Vincent's, Oak, and Delachaise are the classiest eats in the immediate neighborhood. What more could you want to hear in a review?
