Cafe Gentilly - New Orleans - Photo album

Great old school lunch spot for us. We go about once a month and always good food at reasonable prices. The fried chicken is the bomb here. The fries are great too. The staff are always friendly and the place is always clean. Food comes out quickly too. Parking can sometimes be an issue during peak
11-15-2023 Another very good meal. Had the liver & onions, mashed potatoes, and very fresh, full house salad. My company had the meat loaf special & mashed potatoes with smotherd cabbage. I'm glad they brought back French bread with the meals. Would have preferred the liver to be thicker, but it
Always delicious. Today I got the catfish plate with fries and potato salad. Yum! Fish is nice and seasoned and soft.
The fish entree and the shrimp entree were both good. But the white chocolate bread pudding was just ok.
Fantastic little place featuring Southern cooking. May not be the current title holder for best chicken around but they have to be close. We had a taste for chicken but lots on the menu that caught our eye. We just beat the rush because it was very busy after we sat down.
Hands down the very best fried chicken we found anywhere in the south! An absolutely MUST destination place, even if it's out of your way. Portion sizes are large, chicken is out of this world, and the customer service was incredible. If I could give this a 100 star, I would. We traveled by car
We were told this was the best fried chicken around so we had to give it a try. The chicken tasted fresh out of grandma’s kitchen! The bread pudding was just the way we love it. The praline topped Cheesecake was just as wonderful. Their fries were even wonderfully seasoned and was a nice change to j
"I recently dined at Fiorella's in New Orleans and let me tell you, it was an absolute pleasure. From the moment I walked through the door, the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. But let's talk about the fo
Updated review: Of course I'm back home getting my Fiorellas fix! I remembered to take pictures this time too. Fresh, hot and delicious every time. Love, love, love the White chocolate Bread Pudding. Older review: The young man who took my order and was at the register when I picked up my food ju
We loved this cafe! It's a quintessential "hole-in-the-wall" joint. You can't beat homemade food! It was like eating at Grandma's. Our table ordered fried chicken, spaghetti, a burger, and the muffuletta. All of them were SO good-- the fried chicken blew everything out of the water! The portions
My first time there. Got the prize winning fried chicken and it did not disappoint. It was fresh and piping hot to the bone! Super crispy and flavorful. My companion got an oyster poboy and was satisfied. We ordered dessert to go but it wasn't nearly as impressive as our entrees.
Very very good. I had the four piece fried chicken with mashed taters and brown gravy. My buddy had the veal parm and said it was delicious. Menu is wide ranging, sandwiches seem to be popular among other patrons. We're in town for work, this place came as a recommendation. We'll be back before we l
I've been here a few times and always get the same thing. Its easy to see why they won the friend chicken festival. I get a 10 piece with fries everytime, sometimes there is a small wait because it may be packed but it's well worth it. The chicken always has a nice crispy outside and juicy moist ins
I rated them high because of one thing my chicken breast!! Everything else was not worth it. I don't eat macaroni and cheese it looked ok though. The potato salad did not look appealing so I tossed it The fries were ok unseasoned. The fish was fish strips. I would not buy it again Happy Eating
It's no surprise that this Cafe is a staple in New Orleans. The food is fantastic. The staff is excellent. The atmosphere is welcome to the neighborhood. Don't miss it!
