Free pool, amazing staff, and good food. Definitely one of my favorite bars.
My wife and I love this funky old bar and have been regular patrons for several years. It's like going to a good friend's house party. Friendly staff, reasonably priced awesome drinks and the best burgers in town!
This place is a treasure. A bartender at another bar told us about it. Happy hour is the cheapest in the city and it has that low key funkiness one finds in so many New Orleans neighborhood pubs.

I'm happy to say I work there! Come by on a Sunday and watch some football or play some pool or just hangout with me! Chill atmosphere, cool locals, laundry, video poker, food, fun! :) Karaoke some nights, open Mike, comedy, live music etc! Check with the bartenders for that day. Hope to see you!
First came in 1993, finally returning in 2017 (I live in the UK). Lucky’s has always had a place in my heart and it was great to feel the same vibe on returning after 24 years!

Coolest bar I've ever been in. The staff was so welcoming and easy to talk to. You gotta see that dudes banjo! And don't forget to mention the convenience of the washer and dryer on those cold rainy wet Mardi Gras days. I went in there, dried my clothes, downed a car bomb, and had the best burger in New Orleans.
Witnessed a wedding the first time we were there.....such a wonderful experience!!!!

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. I am sorry that you had a bad experience at Lucky's... We have new management, and a whole new staff of bartenders. As an FYI, we only serve Pub Grub ( Traditional bar food like Burgers and fries), but we surely try our best to make it taste great!
The aim of the current staff is to make the bar a place they would want to patronize, and our plan is working out well. There have been a lot of changes over the last several months, and it would be great if you would give us a second chance.
Lucky's bar is a gem in every sense. Their inclusive karaoke nights create a welcoming atmosphere for all. The prices are refreshingly reasonable, and the service is consistently excellent. A true standout in the bar scene.
Dive bar with a Frank Gallagher core ;) Went here at the dawn of my 26th birthday half way twisted from the French QTR crawl and wanted to get a different vibe and this bar definitely did me justice! Dimly lit and the bartender was pleasant! I LOVED the graffitied stalls; adds to the luster of the place! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience, well twice for me as I doubled back lol worth it if you want a different take on the city 🌃
My good friend Budt Hohlz recommended that I check out this place, and I'm so glad I needed his adwice. The atmosphere is positively tepid -- there's enough sexual tension in the air that it's almost palpable, dripping right off the skin on my face, making a gross mess of my shirt. The other patrons are timid, and the barkeep is surly, just the sort of place where I feel comfortable changing my socks in a dark corner booth, which is necessary in order to avoid a bacterial infection.
8/10 --> Urinate on a skeleton.
I must admit the service at the bar was a little bit surly at first but then very friendly. I had to write a review for this place because they had a vegetarian plate on special and although I would never think of getting a vegetarian plate at the dive bar, it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The bartender’s dad prepared it and it was homemade hummus and homemade baba ganoush. I usually don’t even like baba gaboush but this was unbelievably good. The dad was so friendly and the price was extremely reasonable. I just wish I could get that food again! It was a great bar to stumble across and end up getting great beer and excellent food! Not to mention you can do your laundry there too hahaha.

Definitely a hole in the wall but nice atmosphere. No food and it didn't look very clean behind the bar but the bartender was very friendly

What a great new Orleans garden district bar serving delicious food! Home cooked food available on certain nights, I'm so glad I found this local bar for cheap drinks and a chance to meet great New Orleans locals

I come here when the insomnia hits and it's late. Usually pretty good service and chill crowd. Beware though, around witching hour weirdos come out on some days. Aside from that, it's definitely a go to when it's late
