A local New Orleans friend made sure I ate at Costera Restaurant. I'm so glad she did! The meal I ate had the perfect balance of tang and tart. This restaurant challenges all my synonyms for fantastic. I appreciated the culinary mastery of the chef and the professionalism of the wait staff.

1st time here, was so good, each plate was delicious, very small plates, but great. Our wait staff was the BEST!!. Shout out to Charity for never letting our drinks run dry, and Rachel for great attention to our table. Both girls top notch along either the food.

Great restaurant. Great food and great service. Great location. Felt very safe with off street parking available across street. Handicap accessible. Tuna was cooked perfect. Other meals at table were shrimp, hanger steak, crab salad and all were very good. Ribeye was $80…didn’t order. There are 2 restaurants. The other is Costera Lupo which is Italian on Magazine.

The food was out of this world!! The portions were large and shareable. The paella was worth the expense. It was loaded with fresh seafood and very authentic. The beat salad was delicious. Everything was delicious and I want to go back again today but need to wait at least a week!! We brought a lot home because as usual we ordered too much. The service was fantastic, the restaurant and restrooms were very clean.

Fancy and casual restaurant that serves some delicious food. Get the family style tasting (I had it at dinner time) if you love to try new foods and a little bit of everything on the menu. The terres major steak and seafood paella was some of the best I've ever had. Food I got the tasting with my table of 8 and had an amazing experience. There were so many different kinds of food coming left and right that I just couldn't keep up with pictures (sorry only pic I took was of the paella, which would you look at that!!) All the food was delicious and came in appropriate portions. I especially want to give recognition to the steak and paella. The steak was cooked perfectly so that it was juicy and would just melt in your mouth. The seafood paella had TONS of seafood in it and the shrimp were GIGANTIC. They just lay the seafood on a bed of rice and it goes well together. There was so much food that we about 1/5 of the paella was leftover. Atmosphere The interior is very nice and has a fancy feeling to it. But the vibe was still casual enough that you could wear shorts and a t-shirt. It's the kind of place that I would want to bring my girlfriend on a date on for a special kind of occasion. Pricing A more expensive restaurant than I'm used to but every dollar was worth it. The food was amazing like I said in the food section above. Service Excellent service. Food came out much quicker than I had anticipated and the waiters would explain which each dish was. Staff was very friendly and nice to joke around with. Other I had Ubered here from my hotel but there might be street parking around. I heard that the ice cream shop next door is super good.

We got the bombas, shrimp, crudo, mushrooms, and charred romaine as well as a few different mixed drinks. Everything was so, so good and the service was excellent! Will definitely be going back.

Stopped in for a couple apps at the bar. The staff was cool and welcoming with food and drink suggestions. Everything was really good - the sauce paired with the scallops was really salty for some reason and overpowered the dish, but other than that we had an overall pleasant experience. The mushrooms were exceptional.

Always a five start experience. This is our favorite restaurant in New Orleans. This last visit we had the paella which words cannot do it justice. All of the depth of flavors just sing. The fish a la plancha is also our staple. The latest was a mountain of redfish with fresh vegetables. The new cheesecake dessert with orange glaze is divine, light fluffy, not a heavy cheesecake. I would go just for this dessert. The portions are never skimpy even for tapas. We love to go for Happy Hour. Avoid the crowds and the bar and tapas specials are well worth it. Wait staff is always prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable especially about the bar as well. This is the best curated bar in New Orleans.

Had a great experience dining at Costera! My wife and I sat and ate at the bar. The servers were very informative, attentive, and friendly. We had a great bottle of Spanish Ribera del Duero and the food was excellent! We over-ordered as usual, but there were just too many tempting options. We sampled the tapas selection: jamon, blue crab salad, charred octopus. The real star of the evening though was the seafood paella! It was filled with huge prawns, mussels, crab, clams. It was the best seafood paella I've had this side of the Atlantic!
