Great local spot! Great service! Great food! Ask for the blueberry jalapeno sauce (it's a secret sauce); it costs $5 (should be more) but it is amazing!

Great service and server's. Loved the sourdough bread King sandwich and the shrimp burrito. Great flavors in all the food. Clean bathrooms. Enjoyed the picnic tables on a beautiful fall day.

The service here from the guy wearing the Bucky's hat is awesome. I never felt so well taken care of and looked after. I felt so important, better service than most fancy restaurants. The biscuit and gravy was so good. But the voodoo cold brew wasn't very good. Not strong chocolate taste or coffee. Our table also really loved the tofu bowl. They have seating inside and outside

In love. I want to move in here. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and staff really worked as a team to take care of us. I dropped my spoon and one of the chefs appeared tableside with a new roll of silverware in hand. They held the door for my friend in a wheelchair without asking. Bill especially was fun and thoughtful in his service, he really anticipated our needs. The food was unique and exceptional, not run-of-the-mill breakfast fare, and came out in just a few minutes. Even if I can't dine here morning noon and night I will be back and get some merch too, gotta rep this spot. Thanks again everyone.

We were in town for a few days and wanted some good breakfast. When I tell you this place is nice, that's an understatement!!! The place is small but comfy and the service was great. Now, the food(drops the mic) omg. THEM GRITS!!!! First time ever eating grits and did not have to add any seasons. Absolutely perfect and the sausage reminded me of when I was a kid and mom would make homemade sausage for breakfast. When we come back we will definitely come here again. Absolutely love the place! And to add a cherry on top, they gave us suggestions on where to go for dinner!👍🏿👍🏿

Great brunch spot, they open earlier than most, and the quality and price is great. Had been here once with my sister from out of town back in 2019 and thought Biscuits on Banks was better, but since the pandemic both restaurants redid their menus and I think Wakin Bakin is probably the best breakfast spot uptown. The service is timely and the workers seem happy to be there. If you are in a rush you may want to look elsewhere, it has a very relaxed atmosphere, the food is worth the short wait. The hardest part is choosing what to eat because all the options are good. It does have a relatively small interior, though there is plenty of outdoor seating, but that means in inclement weather you may have to wait for a table. If you are bringing a large party they may have trouble accommodating, most interior tables are setup to accommodate 2-4 people, the outside picnic tables could easily fit 6.

What a delicious brunch of Biscuits and Gravy, accompanied by scrambled eggs topped with pepper jack cheese, and sausages. And a spot of coffee. The corn biscuits were so soft and buttery. The eggs were perfectly scrambled and smothered in pepper jack cheese. The sausage was homemade and very tasty. Such a chill vibe with fun decor. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I was even offered a fresh to-go cup of coffee for my walk.

SO GOOD. The food here was absolutely delicious -- real Southern biscuits, super tasty gravy, and excellent eggs, hash, and other sides. I'd definitely come here again. The only downside is they prioritize to-go & delivery orders over dine in, so it took surprisingly longer than expected to actually get our food. But once it arrived the food was amazing.

Had an amazing meal! Everyone there was super friendly and even though I have some dietary restrictions, there were many options I could have had. I went with the build your own sandwich option. My friend had the jambalaya and biscuit. Very flavorful and worth the very reasonable price. Cute place too. Fun pictures and atmosphere. Emily at the counter was super helpful and friendly. I DEFINITELY recommend this place.
