Okay the food was really really good. We didn’t have to wait for long. Seems to be a neighbourhood favourite and the owner was friendly. They have all the drink choices you could ever want and halal friendly menus for those that want that. Would definitely go again

Was not at all sure what to expect with a restaurant/convenience store but the food was delicious. Once we walked in and looked confused the cashier offered us menus and we picked some of the things that looked extra tasty. It wasn't particularly cheap considering it's takeaway but it was all worth it. Lots of great veggie options on the menu. Loved the veggie moussaka, spinach pie and french fries. Loved the halloumi too but the portion of halloumi was rather petite. Also worth a visit if you'd like to try a new soft drink or candy item, the shelves were bursting with interesting items.

The place is easy to miss on the outside looking in. It is overcrowded with drinks and boxes but there is a kitchen deep inside. Thanks to Google Maps, they can be found and the reviews and menu can be pulled out. We had the gyro and it was good. The kafta is spicy as it should be.
They don’t have to have tables for sit in but only if they have menus outside or the chance to see a counter looking in, they would be so successful.

I absolutely love this place. We come to New Orleans a couple times a month and we always stop in here, usually more than once! The hummus, the chicken, the tbone!!!! Are ALWAYS a can’t miss! Perfect late night spot as well! Mmm!! 🔥🔥🔥

FANTASTIC Mediterranean spot. This location is in a corner mini mart but don’t be fooled, the food is good. I went twice during my short stay in New Orleans. The falafel and chicken shawarma wraps were delicious was is the fried eggplant and Lebanese iced tea. While you’re waiting for your food, there are lots of snack and drink options to pick from. 5 stars!

Delicious food in an unassuming environment. Go into what looks like a convince store and notice the collection of international candy. Push past and to the delicious Mediterranean food in the back. Everything we had was amazing. We tried an appetizer sampler, gyro, lamb (x2), and veg plate.
Team Cleo's told us that they are about to open a new restaurant down the street. I'm excited to see where they go and will follow them wherever it may be.

We came in with 8 people and while there was some mix up with orders, the owner was incredibly apologetic and kept asking how to make it up to us, including cooking everything again for free. He insisted on giving us free deserts, which were delicious!! Swarma and gyros are quite tasty and staff were friendly. No complaints here at all.

I've lived in Alexandria, Egypt twice, and this food fills a fül sized hole in my soul, while also being distinctly of New Orleans. The addition of hot sauce to the foul medames is brilliant, and the pepper oil in the tzatziki is flat-out inspired. In Egypt these foods would have been complemented with flavors that one can't always find in the US, so in true immigrant-fashion, they're spun into flavors from the local area. I would have been happy to eat this on my balcony in Sporting, two blocks from the tram, and I'm delighted to eat them on Canal, right beside the street car!
Order a bunch of mezzes and enjoy what the vision of the chef.

Excellent Mediterranean food at an off-beat casual location. The manager allowed us to get some beers which was a plus. They have a great selection of craft soft drinks and an interesting menu that is freshly prepared.

Long wait but cashier was nice and was a small sitting space. Meat a little tough but everything tasted great! Fyi that it purely is a place to pick up food-no place to sit down.

I love this place. As a convenience store, it has all sorts of candy bars, bottle drinks, etc. that you never ever see anywhere else. But it truly shines as a low-cost place for middle-eastern food. I had the Chicken Shawarma wrap and it was delicious ($7). And the fellow that was in charge was really nice and made sure I was happy with my food. Go there, NOW!!

THE BEST Mediterranean food i have ever had. I had the vegetarian plate and my boyfriend had the combo plate with the gyro and beef, and he had meat dolmas. Everything was so fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautiful. The presentation was so pretty. The baba ganouj was probably the best I have ever had. The tabbouleh was so refreshing... and the service was great! The man who served us was so welcoming and friendly. We cannot wait to go back!

Great place to stop for lunch or dinner after or before going to the Saenger Theatre. The Lebanese tea was so delicious & the Mediterranean food was fresh & the bomb. The baklava is a most have!

Literally the best Mediterranean food I've had in Louisiana!! Truly a hidden gem, in a little convenient store across from the Roosevelt Hotel in NOLA, but with the most fresh and delicious food and amazing service from Dino who makes you feel like you're his only customer even when the restaurant is packed!

We hit this place up after the Tool concert on Sunday night. It was about midnight. It's clean, brightly lit, and smells like heaven. We split the fried kibbeh appetizer, the chicken teeka, and a vegetarian plate and it was excellent. The fried kibbeh is delicious. We were skeptical about the baba ganoush on the vegetarian plate but that's because we've never had theirs. We finished it before the hummus and that's impressive because the hummus is pretty tasty too as is the chicken teeka. We had plenty of food to split between us! Everyone was very friendly and wanted to make sure we enjoyed everything. I'm sure this will be our stop after many more New Orleans events.

Just checked in at my hotel. Told them I was vegan and they recommended the hummus at Cleo’s. Short walk from the hotel. Super nice staff and they were right, the hummus is delicious. Note: the entry looks like a store so keep your eye out or you will shoot past it.

This place has the most amazing food ever! If I lived in this area, I'd eat here ALL the time!!! I had the Lula kabob and it exceeded my expectations. The flaver was on point! Next time I'm in NOLA I will be sure to come back!

Quite possibly the best gyro I've had in my life. The basmati rice was light as air, and the feta was fantastic. First and foremost when you hear that this is a convenience store that serves Mediterranean food, don't get scared. It's not a corner store in the hood. The store and restaurant are very clean and well kept. Staff was incredibly friendly. I was asked by two different people of I enjoyed my meal. The fact that Cleo's is open 24 hours is a God send. I work late and normally my dinners consist of something in a bag served from a drive in. Thank you to the crew at Cleo's for one the best meals I've had this week.
