Best damn gumbo. The layers of flavor in every dish were incredible. Awesome fried chicken. The bread pudding had coconut in it, which was a surprise. Just wow. This palace is absolutely amazing. The food was so delicious, the drinks were amazing, the service was spectacular, and of course the decor is gorgeous. The history of this place is just awesome too. 100000% recommend, but make a reservation or get there early as they fill up fast.
I had lunch at Dooky Chase Restaurant today and it lives up to it’s reputation. The stuffed shrimp were delicious and just enough for lunch. What a fantastic dinner!. A great ambiance to the place, clearly family owned and they are proud. And should be). The gumbo was delicious, the Craw-fish étouffée was rich and delicious. The catfish was sweet, fresh and with the right amount of breading and crunch.

We had a 15 wait on a late Saturday night w/no reservation. We enjoyed libations at the bar. After placing our order, we were encouraged to view the Art while we wait. We had the gumbo, jambalaya, and peach cobbler. All were exceptional! Fine dining, art and supporting a local legacy. 5 star experie

food here was fantastic! the service was a bit on the slower side, but then again the restaurant was full while we were there. overall, it was still a good experience and would love to come back to try more dishes.
