The food was excellent, the service while not as fast asL.A. Dallas but that seems to be the norm here was still excellent. My Red Beans Rice w/ gator sausage and android sausage was out of this world. Everybody else loved this place.

As first time customers the wait time was not long , the service was excellent as well as the waitress. The fish was delicious and the slaw with jalapeños was a different twist so good!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Creole House in New Orleans and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. What stood out the most was the incredibly efficient service - from the moment we were seated, which was almost immediate, to the prompt attention we received from our server. The menu offered a good variety, catering to both children and adults. The chicken tenders from the kids’ menu were a hit with the little ones - nothing extraordinary but a safe and satisfying choice. My grilled chicken salad with Italian dressing was exactly what I expected, wholesome and flavorful. A special mention must go to the oysters on the half shell. They were remarkably fresh, although they were still attached to the muscle, which was a slight inconvenience. However, this didn’t detract much from the quality of the dish. The standout for me was the ‘Taste of New Orleans’ platter. It’s a great way to experience a range of flavors that the restaurant and the city’s cuisine have to offer. Each item on the platter was a delightful representation of New Orleans’ culinary spirit. In summary, Creole House in New Orleans is a place I would recommend for anyone seeking a genuine Creole meal with quick and friendly service. It’s a solid choice for experiencing the local cuisine, and the atmosphere is just right for a casual yet memorable meal.

Really great place. I enjoyed everything. We came for lunch. They serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Shrimp and grits were made with a tomato based sauce which gave them a sweet acid flavor. Excellent! My daughter had red beans and rice with alligator sausage and my granddaughter had a kids waffle which was still the size of a plate. I had oysters as well and they were fresh and large. I recommend highly.

My wife and I were in New Orleans to get on a cruise. We went here for dinner the night before. Our waiter Kevin was fantastic. I have a food allergy and he made sure my food was good for me to eat. Gave great suggestions and the food was fantastic. We had blackened alligator to share. My wife had the shrimp and grits and I had the blackened fish. It all was so good that when we got back we went there before our flight back home. We had great gumbo and po boys before the flight. I really think this place should close down and move everyone to New Hampshire so I could eat it more.

Have been here before when visiting Nawlins. Love this place! Dee was our server, she was fabulous! All of the food was great! Our husband's had oysters and OMGoodness! I have never seen oysters so big and they loved them! And don't forget to finish it with dessert! Both the pecan dessert and the bread pudding were to die for! And they were HUGE. You can easily share.

The crab claws were excellent!! The flavors in the sauce made the dish (appetizer). The calamari was perfect. Drinks were made very well and strong! The atmosphere could use a little background music. It’s super loud on a busy Saturday night with all the chatter. We had a sweet server.

Great croele place on canal st. Large restaurant with friendly staff. Tried fried alligator for the first time. Taste a bit like chicken, few pieces are chewy. Got a sampler of different local popular dishes. Also a salad. Left my hat and they were nice to keep it until I realized and came back for it.

We sampled the Fried Chicken with Red Beans and Rice and the Crab Cake and Shrimp Alfredo. The red beans and rice had a wonderful smokey flavor. Loved the crispness and spice of the crab cake. The service was friendly, prompt, and made excellent recommendations. We would definitely eat at the Creole House again.

Really good vibe and atmosphere, very fresh food. Service was good but idk if they were too busy for the amount of staff or need new procedures. We and several others had to wait a good amount of time to get silverware after receiving our meals. Denisha was our waitress and she was very friendly and gave great recommendations for dessert for our next visit.

Great food and our server was extremely friendly and prompt to serve our needs. The French onion soup and the blackened chicken jambalaya were particularly great.

A wonderful establishment from top to bottom. My wife and I dined here while visiting and it did not disappoint on its delivery of the traditional New Orleans fare. I had their red beans and rice, my wife had the shrimp and grits; we both agree they were the best we've had! While in the Big Easy we had to try the fried alligator, especially as it was my wife's first time. Again, they did not disappoint as the gator was nice and soft, with a slight crunch from the breading, the flavors were so nice we almost forgot about the dip that came with it!

This was our first meal in New Orleans, and it did not disappoint. The Taste of New Orleans and the Bacon Garlic Oysters were absolutely wonderful, also the bread pudding was so good. Great atmosphere, and our service was fantastic.

The service was great, and the food was tasty. I also had the crab cakes, and they were very spicy or shall I say, cajun. The mixed vegetables were served to me cold, which is the only reason I didn't rate the food 5 stars. If I visit New Orleans again, I would return and highly recommend this restaurant.

Sat at the bar and the bartender was great! She provided excellent service. Ordered the gumbo soup and the alligator appetizer. Food tasted amazing, but came out lukewarm, which was a disappointment. For $17, I would have hoped for more alligator because if I had known I was going to be served a less amount I would’ve passed.

We were walking canal St and we’re hungry. Did google search for nearby restaurants, but didn’t want to goto a restaurant with a low Star review.; since we were unfamiliar with area . Creole house restaurant showed 4.2 stars at the time (12/8/23), so we walked there. I looked at menu pictures on google maps, and the menu pics are accurate to the current menu at the time. Creole was packed, but no wait to be seated. Front door greeter seated us immediately. It was pretty loud in there and the dinning tables are a little on the small side and are mostly packed in the center floor area. There were 3 of us, so we had some elbow room. Waitress approached within a few seconds of us being seated. She was extremely polite and friendly. She quickly took our drink order and had our drinks within a few mins. That was impressive considering the amount of people in there. I made a small scene by accidentally knocking my drink over the edge of the table while moving things around to make room on the table. Wife said everyone in the place turned and looked at me, a little embarrassing. Wife flagged the waitress to point out my blunder. Waitress said no worries, she’ll have someone come right over to clean it up. She was right, a guy with mop quickly came over to clean up my mess and the waitress had me a replacement drink shortly afterwards; they placed the yellow plastic man on the wet floor. The waitress had taken our food order right after we got our drinks (right before I spilled my drink). Right after my mess was cleaned up, our food was brought out to us; HOT and fresh. Two of us ordered fish and shrimp platter. Fish batter was crunchy, with white soft flaky fish inside. It was really good. 3rd person ordered the shrimp pasta, which was also really good. The whole experience was excellent and food was great. I definitely would highly recommend eating here if you’re in on Canal Street. Be prepared to spend about $25-$30 person, the 3 of us spent a little over $110 plus tip. Was it worth that price? We asked each other that, we all agreed food was good but over priced. We were full afterwards, and we thought it was worth about $75-$85, not $110. Will we ever go back if in the area, not sure. We still give them 5 stars for the taste and experience.

The first restaurant I went to in New Orleans and it set the bar high. Too high. I wasn't able to find anything during my stay that topped this place. I usually don't eat oysters and this place changed my mind. I tried them at a different restaurant and was so disappointed.
