Sylvain - New Orleans - Photo album

We had a really fun lunch at Sylvain. There’s a very nice courtyard, unfortunately in August it’s a little too warm for us to dine outside. The menu is varied and the food is very good. The service is also good and the staff are friendly. Sylvain has a full bar and offers good cocktails, wine and ch
The crew at Sylvain were so extremely accommodating this afternoon. I had a last minute video chat with a client and needed a "quiet" place to settle down. That's hard to find in the French Quarter on a Saint's Sunday but I found it. Ended up ordering the shrimp remoulade and a cocktail. Both we
Getting involved with the New Orleans Chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier had been a wonderful way to learn about the city, and the amazing culinary finds that are tucked away on every street that we have wandered down. Sylvain was one of those special finds. They generously donated a raffle to the rec
Gem of a restaurant in the French Quarter. Best salad, spectacular corn bread, very delicious and unusual blackened he of the woods mushrooms, mouth watering short ribs and grits. Lovingly presented fresh and hot with attentive wait staff. Reasonable price. Excellent overall!
As a local I’m surprised I haven’t been here more often. Excellent cocktails and food. Friendly staff. Perfect French quarter atmosphere. Highly recommended!
We stopped in for a nightcap on our way home because the ambiance of the space is so cool! The staff was super friendly and the cocktails were delicious! We sat at the bar but their outdoor garden area is really beautiful.
Excellent brunch spot with friendly staff. My friends and I came here for a leisurely meal and had an amazing time. We ordered the pomegranate mimosa and champagne cocktail to start. They were light, just the right amount of sweetness, and the perfect drinks to go with brunch. For our meals, we or
Another great find as we walked the streets of the French Quarter. With no reservation they accommodated is promptly and seated outside in the courtyard. The service was lovely and the food was extremely good. The Market Salad was the best and the ribs, and parpadella was great as well.
Really cool place, and all the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I wish we had gone during the day to sit in the patio, which was very picturesque, but for us, it was late and too cold. The food was good. We had the pairing special, the pasta bologniese, the burger, and the chicken sandwic
Sylvain has long been one of our favorite restaurants in the French Quarter. We went here for the second year in a ton for a out wedding anniversary lunch, and just could not be more pleased with the experience. The food was top notch, the service was attentive and prompt, and the overall vibe was
I like the bartender. We kinda ambushed the place and vibes were iffy at first, but it worked out well. All 7 of us enjoyed our food and drinks. The drink was fresh and balanced. The carrots were fun and flavorful. I taste tested the grits and fries which were pretty perfect. I highly recomme
Great food here! My wife had the burger (super tasty), and I had the potato chip crusted drum (basically the best "fish and chips style" fish I've had in a long time). We visited on a Saturday night, and it was quiet and not busy. This place is sort of tucked away in an area sufficiently far enough
We were lead to our table down this charming alleyway to dine under the stars. Was such a great experience with the exposed brick, string lights and greenery in the adjacent garden. Spectacular food and service to match
Got here on a sunday night at 6 and snatched the last seats at the bar. I wasn’t sure what to order but the bartender was so helpful and made good suggestions. Service and cocktails/food was excellent! My husband isn’t an adventurous eater at all while I am and we were both very happy with the optio
Went for Sunday brunch with our dog and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating despite us not having a reservation. They gave our dog a water bowl and some love. The cornbread and specially the butter is amazing. The Green Tomato BLT is great but it is an open faced sandwich so prepare
I'm late to the party with this review, but do yourself a favor and go to Sylvain if you're in New Orleans. Unfortunately, we didn't think this through properly so we ended up going as a second brunch. We will definitely be back for dinner because rumor has it, it's fantastic. Brunch: Sylvain burg
Great restaurant in the middle of the quarter on Chartres. Very cool, sexy vibes. Located in an old carriage house it's got a cool bar with nice cocktails. Try the 'Urban Sombrero'. It's like a smoky strawberry margarita. The menu is seasonal and I usually go with their pork dishes. I've had pork l
Delicious fare in a laid back atmosphere! The salmon dish and gulf fish were both good, as was the charred cabbage, however the pappardelle bolognese was our favorite dish. We shared the Eton Mess and chocolate pot de crème, which was decadent and the perfect way to wrap up our meal. This is a gr
I have mixed reaction to this restaurant. It has a very cool vibe. You enter through a long dark hallway. There is an outdoor garden space for dining, and an inside area where the bar is. It is very dark, and the music was very loud. The cocktails are great. I had the champagne cocktail, which had
