Saba - New Orleans - Photo album

Didn’t think I was a fan of Israeli food until eating here. The pita is next level!! We came with a group of 8 so had to do the feed me menu. We were definitely fed… sooo much food. We were seated by a somewhat private table but the restaurant was not thrilled when we were standing up and chatting
Great indoor/outdoor space on Magazine street. Service was friendly and fast even as the tables were filling up. Most dishes are pretty small so definitely order a variety for the table. The fresh pita, smooth hummus, pickled carrots, and confit tomatoes were the standouts.
This is such an amazing restaurant! As an Israeli I wasn’t expected to be amazed by the food in an Israeli restaurant in the US, but this place definitely wowed me! Everything was extraordinary but the thing that surprised me the most was the pita - most places in the states does not have a decent p
Delicious dinner tonight at Saba. Many vegetarian options. I could easily say that this was the best falafel I have had outside of the Middle East. Our server Greg was outstanding and attentive. Highly recommended.
When you google Saba (which I did no less than 35 times, I was so excited to peruse the menu before we went) the line that pops up in the search bar is: "The Best Israeli Restaurant in New Orleans". This cannot help but feel like a little dig at Shaya, Chef Alon's former restaurant that royally scre
This may be the best meal I've ever had. Words cannot express how amazing every single item was. The tastes, textures and freshness were perfection. Mane........ Salatims: -Ikra: Smoked trout roe and baby herbs. -Lutenitsa: Bulgarian spread of roasted peppers, eggplant and tomatoes. -Pickles: Cabba
A few months ago I visited Shaya and was told I should definitely try Saba, so I did. Walked in and was greeted and sat immediately, sometimes reservations are best. Took a booth seat and was greeted by my waiter Andrew, who was amazing by the way. Ordered a sweet tea (got unsweetened but it was sti
Saba does a lot of things very well. Excellent, in fact. The food, the atmosphere (both indoors and on the patio), the staff, decor, all amazing. Great location, too. The flavors, my god. Menu is not intimidating and offers many diverse options. The only place where they lose a star is on the cockt
Great spot for brunch, amazing small plates and one of the best fried chicken dishes i’ve had in a long time. Get the ikra, smoked trout dip! Incredible pita as well.
Came into town for vacation and had a lovely dinner at Saba. The food, drinks, atmosphere and staff were all amazing. They also have great vegan, vegetarian & meat friendly options, guaranteed to have something for everyone!
We had a selection of the Salatim and the Malabi there. Then, we got the Falafel and the Baklava to go. It's a bit odd, but the same flavor profile seemed to run through everything except the Malabi. The food was still good and all, it just was a bit unexpected.
This restaurant was full of a friendly staff, everyone I spoke to radiated such sweet energy and it made me super comfortable immediately. This was my first time having Mediterranean food, and the food was delicious. I had the roasted duck with shrimp hummus, and was super super impressed. We sat at
Saba is consistently excellent in all regards: amazing food, attentive service, and great ambiance. The complimentary pita bread is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the following: Salatim -Pickles -Harissa Marinated Olives Hummus -Louisiana Blue Crab -Spicy Lamb Ragu Plates -Harissa Roa
The best Middle Eastern food I have ever had and ranks with the best restaurant food of any type I've ever had. The hummus and pita were exceptional, to name just one course. Kudos to our server, Greg, for making the whole experience special.
Wonderful atmosphere, especially outside. Delicious creative menu although I had a hard time finding something I wanted. I don't eat shellfish which limited me though. Pita is amazing. Like Shaya a little better. Great waiter.
Amazing!! Simply amazing Israeli food with a creole twist. The hummus was smooth as silk.
Located in the Uptown area of New Orleans, I found it refreshing to be far away from the French Quarter. Saba has gotten a lot of buzz, and I can see why. The food is fantastic, fresh and reminded me of a favorite restaurant I frequented often in DC (Albi). The lamb kofta was cooked perfectly and
