A Classic for a reason! Attended the jazz brunch during Halloween weekend and the vibe, service and food were excellent. First of all, the house Bloody Mary was one of the best I’ve had and pouring the vodka table side was so fun. Salad starter was tasty, I personally thought the soups my friends had were just ok. The pecan crusted fish was tender and juicy and the corn accent flavors paired well. The steak and pork main dishes also did not disappoint. As for the desserts, they were the ideal sweet ending- highly recommend the apple crumble one. Service was outstanding with the musicians being a bonus.
A beautiful experience. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the service was. The entrees were layered with flavor. The gumbo was a bit too salty, and I didn’t care for the whiskey on the bread pudding soufflé. I thought it would be cooked but it wasn’t and ruined it for me, but that is personal. Same thing with the turtle soup—the sherry poured into straight from the bottle destroyed the taste. But I’m sure there are people who love alcohol who would give it an extra star for that.
We dined here for my wife’s birthday on our trip to New Orleans. It was the best food we had ever eaten. Absolutely loved every dish. Robert, Billy, and Max were fantastic. They provided amazing service to pair with the fantastic food. If you are able I would highly recommend going to Commanders Palace.
This is an amazing experience in my opinion. The food was great but the service was wonderful. Kendall took care of us but the entire time we were waiting on by multiple people and never once do you need to ask for wait staff as you are constantly taken care of.
Highly recommend the bread pudding.
During our jazz brunch the band went around to each table a let guests request a song and played the song for that table.
The entire experience was amazing. Leon and Allie took great care in what to recommend. We enjoyed every minute. We were not done eating until over an hour after closing but we never felt rushed.
Amazing dining experience in a cool looking space. The service was incredible and you feel appreciated. Also just a great place to people watch, as it felt like everyone around was celebrating birthdays, or anniversaries, or just a boys trip.
I absolutely ordered the rating menu. Everyone kept recommending this restaurant as one of the best and it didn’t disappoint so take the chance to try as much as you can. The tasting menu had 5 courses and a cocktail to break it up. But before we get there, THE GARLIC BREAD IS NEXT LEVEL! Can I just order this?!
Each course was delicious with my favorite being the Iberico. That being said, the bone marrow was amazing and they don’t offer it a la carte. Nothing left to say except visit soon and visit often
This was a really cool and elegant place. The food was amazing and perfect proportions. We had 3 designated people to our little 4 table room so it was quite intimate. Our waiters were really friendly and attentive. It was worth the $$$.
Good food. Great service. Definitely a place to go once in your life. I don't see myself going back but happy to experience it. The food was great. Big portions. Worth the money.
Excellent food and great service. Autumn berry sangria and espresso martini are standouts on the beverage menu! We ordered gumbo, a salad, the pecan crusted fish, and the shrimp and grits. Also loved the creme brulee for dessert. We didn't have the banana foster but it was fun to watch it being prepared at other tables!
Absolutely top flight in every respect. Old world service and imaginative menu without being wierd. World class chefs have worked here. 130 year history in the Garden District of New Orleans. I was blown away. I was here for my first time, but I will be back.
