Went for a renewal of vows! Everything was spectacular except ladies don't wear heels cause there was a lot of walking to the beautiful hilltop area for the ceremony and you will sink into the ground! Lol
Gedney Farm is one of the best venues I've ever been to. Between the comfortable atmosphere and the stunning backdrops, it gives any photographer plenty of opportunity to document their couple's wedding day beautifully. And you can't forget the food! The food is phenomenal and always so mouthwateringly delicious! Another great thing is there's very little service in New Marlborough, so your family and friends are fully immersed in your wedding day without the distraction of cell service. Absolutely perfect.
We love staying at Gedney Farm. We've stayed there twice and look forward to returning again. The rooms are spacious yet cozy with modern bathrooms. Our most recent room - The Loft Suite - was heated by a fireplace which was a surprisingly charming feature to enjoy. Both rooms we stayed in felt very private. The only downside is that the breakfast is limited and does not accommodate dietary restrictions like gluten-free unless you just want a plate of fruit in the morning. But that won't stop us from returning to this warm, cozy, romantic spot.

I have worked with the staff at Gedney Farm for years for different events. But this weekend we hosted my son’s wedding at Gedney. And it could not have been more magical. The staff worked tirelessly to help us create a dream wedding. The setting is spectacular. The food was delicious. The staff were wonderful. It was exactly the wedding that we spent two years waiting for.

We visited 9 wedding venues over the course of 4 days, and didn't plan on expanding our search. The first 8 were fine; they had pros and cons; we knew we could make one of them work. Then we visited our ninth and final venue: Gedney Farm. My husband, sister-in-laws, and I all immediately knew it was perfect for us. We'd wanted a barn, and the three floors at Gedney were so much more spacious and airy than the others we'd seen. I wanted an indoor ceremony, and the loft level was the perfect location I'd never known I always wanted. The onsite hotel provided the perfect intimate setting for our bridal party. It was a gorgeous, romantic setting. The staff was laid back, but super friendly and capable. We can't wait to come back for future anniversaries and celebrations. Could not recommend more!
Michael, Peter, Samantha and the whole staff -- from front of house to back of house to housekeeping staff -- are an absolutely A++ team. They know exactly what they're doing, they're total pros. They know all of the local vendors, and they make a wedding at Gedney Farm the best night of your life (as it should be). Can't recommend them highly enough. It really felt like a family event working with the Gedney team. If you want a non-cookie-cutter wedding that is unique but still retains that truly special, high class element, do yourself a favor and pick up the phone immediately. You and your guests will NOT be disappointed. P.S. The restaurant/bar/hotel all stand on their own two feet as well, if you're looking for a rustic but incredibly comfortable stay while you're in the area.

We had an incredible overnight stay + dinner at Gedney - don't sleep on this special spot! The ambiance is comfortable and approachable, and the hospitality is beyond. The owners (Peter & Michael) are consummate professionals, and know how to make every guest feel at home in the special place they've owned and operated for many years.
As for dinner, each bite was delicious (cheers to the chef & team behind the scenes) & Peter (also the somm) really knows how to put together a special list of super interesting and funky wines/cockatils/vermouths! The menu changes regularly with the seasons & local produce, and we've always been delighted by what the kitchen offers. The fresh ravioli with short rib & mushrooms was especially wonderful!
We *almost* skipped dessert, but were easily convinced that the pear tart was worthy, and it did not disappoint! Pears from the property, a perfect buttery crust, a just-sweet-enough ooey gooey sauce + a peppercorn cream dolloped on top absolutely blew us away. Peter paired the dessert with an incredible Spanish vermouth & I'm still thinking about the pairing 3 days later - it was really that good!

Gedney Farm is the most amazing place to get married. It literally has everything - an incredibly beautiful rustic barn space that barely needs decorating, gorgeous natural grounds, amazing decor, a charming inn on site, absolutely delicious food, and THE MOST INCREDIBLE staff. My husband and I could not believe how supportive and helpful everyone was every step of the way, and since our wedding our family and friends have not stopped raving about Gedney. It rained on our wedding day, which changed some of our plans, but everyone was ready with a plan B and even our plan B was beyond our wildest expectations. We'd recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat, and we can't imagine celebrating this momentous occasion anywhere else.
Glorious Gedney Farm. I am local and just come to get away because Michael Smith and his staff make anyone feel right at home. Gedney is serene and boasts farm and flower fields, artistic and tasteful design with sculptures throughout the fields. Rooms are incredibly cozy but roomy (some with fireplaces) and beautiful design, restaurant (Wed-Fri) has the best food and drink in the county - amazing bartender and somm/wine list and they also do outdoor wood stove pizzas that are insanely good. I hesitate to write this because I wish to keep it Berkshire's best kept secret but they deserve the fame and you deserve the tip. Go to Gedney! Any season - can't decide if I like it here more in the summer or the winter. Make sure you call first as they host several weddings and wedding groups on the weekends.
