Firehouse 12 is an amazing recording studio! All the staff is wonderful and energetic, welcoming, and supportive of all projects! The house had the best microphone in the market and the space provides a wonderful sound, naturally! This studio is great for all types of music, from classical to popular! I highly recommend recording at Firehouse 12 with Greg and all their staff! -ELIUD
First rate facility! Excellent equipment, lounges and decor. Greg DiCrosta is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and works hard to get the best sounds recorded. HIGHLY recommended!!
The food here is entirely vegan and I can say confidently that this is the best vegan food I’ve had in New Haven. I have had some really amazing vegan food in other cities and have been overall very disappointed with the vegan food that’s in New Haven but this place is the unsung hero. It gives me hope that there is good vegan food in the city. I had the impossible burger, potatoes and spinach. The food was flavorful and you can tell that the chef puts a lot of time into creating the menu options. I would love to come into the bar and sit down and eat. The indoor seating area is closed but you can order to go and I will definitely be ordering again.
I agree with the person bellow me. Best vegan food in New Haven hands down. I discovered them when they were just doing pickup and delivery but I can't wait to eventually try out the cocktails there once they reopen fully.
Edit: I keep ordering from this place. How do they cook everything perfectly every time.
amazing place for a causal evening. the drinks a really good. happy hour on Friday gives amazing snacks at very affordable price. Did I say that all the snacks are VEGAN! the taste is really really good and enjoyed. don't miss the yuba swarma (vegan). over all great place to hangout.
Magnificant, modern and well thought out. The living space is the best idea you've had for a hang out. Everything is as stylish and convenient as it is comfortable.
it's got a really sweet ambience with stone and brick walls. appreciate the multiple seating- low cushioned benchs, tables with chairs, and bar with stools. nice outdoor bench to chat on. cheap beer as well as nice cocktails. also a great vegan bar food. a favorite spot for meeting friends, dates, quiet reading time.
This place is a nice little gem in New Haven. It is in a quieter part of town, and is located downstairs in what seems to be the basement of what used to be a firehouse. Now it is a bar with a dimly lit and cozy setting with plenty of comfy seating areas. The vibe is mellow and it is never really too crowded or loud. The bartender is nice and accommodating. They have a reasonable selection of house cocktails and a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits. There's nothing too fancy here, but there's definitely something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable. The food menu is actually pretty impressive. They have a selection of very reasonably priced small plates and flatbread sandwiches that have very unique flavor profiles. There was this dish that had grilled white cheese topped with olives and pickled watermelon that was really tasty. Also, there was a cheesy flatbread sandwich that was also pretty delicious.
Firehouse 12 is a great place to go for a drink or a snack in New Haven, especially if you are looking for a quieter place to enjoy time with friends in a nice environment. They apparently have live music at times, but I've never encountered it.
Cozy little beautiful subterranean cocktail bar. Wonderful small-plate food with great inventive vegan options. Good wine and craft brew selection. Friendly fast service. Tell only your favorite people.
Excellent space. I didn't visit the bar but I looked down and the ambience and seating looked wonderful. The studio was a terrific space to enjoy a set of Avant-garde jazz. Ample seating, great lighting, and the sound was to die for. Two thumbs way up! The box office associate and the production manager were both huge helps. I'll be back soon!
