We went to this place for my dad’s birthday. We walk in and are immediately greeted by “Mama” Anna who quickly bonded with my sister upon hearing her speak Italian. Anna was so sweet and welcoming. I hadn’t even sat at the table yet and felt like I was with family. The food was incredible!! We all ordered different dishes and I ate my entire plate… I NEVER eat my whole meal but the portions were big enough to satisfy while not being so much that you felt uncomfortable afterwards. The waitress was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. We ended up chatting with her about family after we had finished eating. I will definitely be coming back to Skappo and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a homey environment with delicious Italian food.

This is the best Italian restaurant you will find in CT without question. The service is impeccable, the food is second to none and the prices are incredibly affordable. Your only regret will be not dining here sooner.

The small, family atmosphere is so sweet and welcoming. I've never even dreamed of lasagna this good and I've worked in award winning restaurants before. The food was impeccable. A really clean, strong flavor profile. We got to talk to the family and it was so pleasant. I haven't felt so much love in a dish in a long time. I highly recommend.

Delicious! Highly recommend. The carbonara was peppery and delicious and the bolognese was very hearty and full of flavor. Figs and ricotta appetizers were delicious

Fantastically delicious!!! I LOVE authentic Italian food and this place hits the mark. Wonderful atmosphere, lovely staff, and family run. Will come back and highly recommend :)
