What a cool place! Great food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Plus it's open late on the weekends. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

This is truly just a neighborhood bar. It has been around for many years and the regulars have been regulars for just as long. As for bar food it depends on the cook but they have some of the best bar food around. It's great if you want to watch a game on TV and actually hear it. They have a dart team and trivia. They usually draw the college crowd which can get messy but overall it's a cool bar with good beer.

Foreal amazing. Also, a really good steak and cheese! Great darts setup and good service...only reason I give it 4 stars is because it's not fine dining, nonetheless, for a great food and service experience it's a home run! Has been for years!

Lived in New Haven for over 6 years until recently moving, but let me tell you, whenever I return the New West is my first stop. I only discovered it after Delaney's burned down and I needed a new spot. And what a great spot it is. Had tons of great times here. Once you enter, even for the first time, you become a regular. Great beer on tap, and the food is surprisingly very good for a small local bar. I judged the book by its cover for way too long, don't make the same mistake! Stop in for a brew.
