La Esquina Del Mofongo

Honestly, I don’t have much to say about this establishment. The staff is friendly, for the most part, but the food is devastatingly flavorless. I ordered the mofongo with shrimp and garlic sauce. I didn’t realize that the garlic sauce was literally just garlic and butter without seasoning, but even after swapping that out for a side of red sauce, the dish was bland, especially the mofongo itself. I’m not sure if it’s a cultural decision to not use seasonings outside of salt and pepper, but this is not something I was happy I spent my money on. The salad was made only of romaine lettuce and shredded carrots and I was given a regular store bought dressing on the side. I don’t feel like that even warrants a picture and the one I did include speaks for itself by leaving much to be desired-you can see even the shrimp isn’t seasoned. I certainly wouldn’t eat here again.

Their food is absolutely disgusting. The chicken looked and taste old, the rice has a horrible burnt smell to it that took up my whole kitchen as if I cooked rice and burned it in my house and didn't even look appetizing. I never received my plantains or salad, not that I even have any faith that it would have been good. The fact that they can sell food like this to people and not think there is anything wrong with it is beyond me. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS S**T HOLE AGAIN.

Horrible!! Never ever coming back and I don't recommend it to anyone! 1st she overcharges me and when I told her, she took $1 from her purse and gave it me. Excuse me but it was more than $1 plus I paid you tax on the amount you overcharged me! Then I noticed I didn't get my salad, she says it's $3 more, not according to the menu! It clearly says Mofongo comes with salad! I tried to tell her but not worth arguing with her. So I get to the car and taste my meal and it's friggin cold!! I just got it and it's cold!! Really!! It also tastes like bitter garlic and the plantain taste like it's old and stale! I felt like going back in and just giving it back but my boyfriend said it wasn't worth it, just never go back. Good advise. People, don't go there if your looking for a tasty meal. Not eating this, leaving it out for a stray animal. La comida es horible. Nunca mas!! Deberian de tener verguenza sirviendo comida tan horible!!

This place is very clean I love the service and the professional staff that alone is good enough for me to return. The food was amazing rich in flavor, and cooked properly. Desserts are amazing it's overall a 5 star for me come and try it out. The organic fresh fruit juice is also something to look forward too

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING HERE PLEASE THINK AGAIN!!!!!!! El mofongo was horrible! The service even wrose! I got mine with chicharron de puerco and my husbands with chicharron de pollo,they both tasted as if they were pollo. The mofongo tasted like tostones de caja and it had a horroble off taste. Also we ordered arroz con gandules and the rice was PINK!😳 To pay they up charged if it was with card and for just 2 platetters way to pricey! Really we waisted our time and came out with a horrible expirience!

I never leave reviews but I’m shocked that I paid $65 for such a small amount of food, It’s my birthday and I feel like crying 😭 The rice doesn’t have no taste and instead of yellow, it looks pink. The mofongo tastes old and dry and has no flavor in it. Why? Would you guys sell food with no flavor like this. I wish I would’ve drove to El Coquito in Bridgeport, CT. I’m very upset. I should’ve known better by the looks of the place. I’m new in town and wanted to eat a mofongo but I got played.

Do not waist your TIME or MONEY on this RESTAURANT NASTY 🤮 . I’ll say it in Spanish NO PIERDAN SU DINERO Y SU TIEMPO EN ESTE SAFACON de RESTAURANTE UNA BASURA . DEVERDAD QUE DEBEN DE CERRARLE EL RESTAURANTE Y LA MESERA ES UNA LISTA LE COBRA El DOBLE ALA JENTE. NO SE DE DONDE SACARON EL CHEF 👨‍🍳 Don’t waist your money ordering in this place there food is so nasty they should closed this place down . The waitress’s thinks she slick she will try to over charge you when you go to the register to pay 💰.
