A very expensive dinner disappointment.
From the start the 2014 Brunello di Montalcino listed on the menu at $120.00 came to the table as a 2016 vintage, no price change offered.
Service: lackluster; staff was too busy on their phones to retrieve dishes from the table. We had to ask for dishes to be removed.
Food: Saltimbocca di Vitelo extremely salty.
Branzino AL forno: large pieces of raw garlic in the middle and with barely any salt or flavor.
Frutti di Mare: shrimps were overcooked, mussels dry and a lb of spaghetti perfectly al dente but on a tasteless liquid.

Pretty disappointed. Came here for a special anniversary dinner and wow do I wish I went elsewhere. They put us in a table that was basically located under support beams, the restaurant was so dark that people were using their camera flashlights to try and see the menu.
Cocktail was small and tasted like fruit juice. Bread served iced cold but at least they brought a second round? Oysters were good as appetizer but went with the waiter recommended NY strip steak. One of the only times in my life I’ve been disappointed eating a steak….which was served with an arugula salad. The wife had homemade gnocchi which was very good, but that was the only highlight of the night.
2 drinks, 4 oysters, and 2 entrees for a total of $90. Not the worst deal but the food definitely left a lot to be desired. Finally, when you tell the restaurant you’re there for some special occasion, they should be finding some way to make it memorable or feel special as well, and they definitely did not. Very disappointed.

Low-key, one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in New Haven. The service was very friendly and accommodating (had picky kids at our table), you can tell that it is authentic based on the menu items and their fresh, delicious preparation. Highly recommend!

The place seemed nice. I ordered the salmon and gnocchi. I was surprised at the small amount of gnocchi that came with the salmon. The dish was flavorful and I have no major complaints about it. The service was fine although we weren't attended to much. I probably wont return, but the food was good.

One of the best salmon/gnocchi dishes I’ve ever had. Really yummy oysters, too. Service was a little slow on a not-very-busy night and the cocktails were pretty lackluster, but the ambience/music was great and food was amazing.

I felt like I was in Italy. It's an Italian restaurant but not an American Italian restaurant. There's no veal parmesan. No heavy tomato sauces. Just delicious well prepared dishes. Homemade pastas and desserts. Great cocktails and wines to pair.
