Outstanding place. Fresh and delicious food cooked by wonderful people. I went in for some lunch but couldn't resist adding on a freshly baked loaf of bread and some delightful desserts. I go as often as I can.
Set up like a tea room, the food is excellent, service is great too. Owners are on premises, and it makes a difference! I love coming here with friends for their soup and sandwuch comb; everything is tasty and fresh and reasonably priced.
Delicious food and desserts, recommend their gluten free chocolate cake! Have to add the crew at Chestnuts is just amazing, hats off!

Visiting CT and always stop by Chestnut Fine Foods for a little bite. Though I was surprised by the lack of sugary treats in the display, every else was just as I remembered. I picked up some split pea soup and the best oatmeal wheat bread. Very hearty, nutritious and satisfying. Purchased two loaves of that wonderful bread to take back home with me.

Raspberry Linzer Tart with delicious almonds is the best tart in town, ever! As it’s handmade, everyday’s tart can taste a little different but I’m glad these ladies found a way to bake it to the fullest all the time. Sounds a bit pricey, but worth to try a slicey!
I’m waiting for next month until I can afford another FULL PIE! And yes, calorie-wise too.
