Nice bookstore with a small cafe located in the first floor of the Yale British Art Gallery.
Their pastries are above the average cafe, I've tried the "nest" this time and it was a nice combination and not too sweet (but definitely too big).

Cute coffee/bookstore.
BEVERAGES: I got a Iced latte and a hot chocolate which were very good.
FOOD:
Caprese panini, good (better heated/toasted which wasn’t)
One avocado toast: very good but there is that orange sauce on it that is a little spicy so be aware.
One Croissant Sandwich (good as well).
One Apple Chausson very good

The Chocolate Croissant was great. The Cheese Danish was superb.
They are great in bakery and deserved 5 stars, until I tasted scone (apple fruit flavored). The scone was a slab of wheat flour, partially cooked. Now I am a little afraid trying out other bakery items, just to avoid experience like the scone.

Great coffee, tasty food, and good vibes.
The place is perfect for a lunch date or just grabbing a quick to go bite and enjoying the books. Highly recommend the squash sandwich!

A great coffee shop nestled in a bookstore. This plaice has an amazing breakfast sando, great chia pudding and solid coffee. Definitely check this spot out.

This is a cozy place with a nice little collection of books on culture, arts, architecture and design. The cafe is nicely organized and has variety of healthy snacks. We came in for coffee before closing and were very surprised when the workers gave us some food for free because the next day was a holiday. Nice place with sweetheart people for those who love good coffee and books!

The best… I repeat the BEST croissants that our little Nutmeg State has to offer. I mean it when I say that Atticus’s pistachio croissants are out of this world. These croissants are truly comparable to European baking; (most American pastries are not). Exceptional quality, texture and flavor.
Way to go Atticus!

It's been a while since I've been to Atticus; I assume they no longer have table service. I sat at the counter and no one offered any assistance. After almost 10 minutes I realized everyone with food in the dining area had cardboard containers and paper cups. There was not an obvious sign posted indicating table service is no longer available, but I suppose I could have missed it. The sign that was obvious, however, was the one requesting that guests wear a mask. It's perfectly fine to have a mask requirement, but don't gather in plain site of customers while eating and chatting in a confined space without masks yourselves. It was frustrating to watch four employees only 10 feet away and not one of them offered any help or guidance. One star for poor customer service. I can't rate the food as none was offered.
