Hands down some of the best food in Beaver County. I have never got any food from there I did not like, everything is delicious, huge portions, priced right, great people, great atmosphere, what more could you ask for?
Greasy yummy standard bar fare. Good huge burgers you can share these bad boys. Specials are pretty good lotta bang for your buck plus booze and beer. Hate the location but not my choice. I will keep coming back for the burgers!

Good Food & GREAT Beers. For about the past five years, the Backdoor Tavern has become our Saturday lunch routine; walk the dog and then go get some good pub grub. In the process, I get to sample plenty of interesting beers. The Backdoor's best feature is their variety of beers, with three to four "rotating taps" serving up something different with each keg change. Another four or so taps maintain the same reliable brews, including Guinness, Newcastle, Franziskaner, etc. Oh you can get a Miller or a Bud, but why do so when they have well over 100 other much better offerings! To keep things interesting, regulars can get a beer card and "finish the list" of 88 beers printed on it -- substitutions are welcome, but you can't repeat any single beer. Since life is too short to drink the same thing, I welcome this variety, and have completed several cards. There is always something new to try. Also important is that they keep their prices lower than any other place in the area, and about half of what you'll find in the city.
As for the food, it is fairly basic pub grub, but better quality than that of most bars, and the quantity is quite generous. One of my standbys is the Pittsburgh Fish Sandwich. I get the half portion and invariably take home part of it for later. I also enjoy the cheese-steak, and my wife has several "favorites." My only complaint would be that the burgers always tend to be a bit overdone for my taste.
This place is well worth the visit, but plan ahead on a Friday as people line up all day for the fish specials.
The food is humongous...and very tasty; however, I come for the endless selection of rare beers. I've had the burger and fish sandwich and they were awesome, also the mac 'n cheese is a fan favorite only served on Fridays. I encourage you to give it a try.

Best and most affordable beer list. I love, love this place for their extensive and extremely reasonably priced beer list. They also have tasty bar food, though, don't come here expecting healthy options. It's really all about the beer for me. Where else can you get the entire bottle of Delirium Tremens for $6? They also carry many of the Samuel Smith's varieties - all around the same price. Was turned onto Atwater's Vanilla Java Porter here. YUM!
Impressed. Back Door Tavern is exactly what i was looking for. The beer list is impressive and the food comes in large portions. The fish sandwich is hands down the best i've found around beaver, and its big enough to feed the steelers offensive line. Back door seemed clean, and the wait staff was friendly. I would eat here any day... Only negative note is that the parking lot needs to be expanded to handle all the customers

Great sammiches. We usually get the fish but we just had one yesterday at Jack's Diner. Today @ the BD we had the Pittsburgh Steak. Amazing! we split a whole one. Total was $24.11 including a draft beer. 2 meals plus we took home enough for tomorrow's lunch for us. You can't beat that with a big stick.
Was greeted as we entered and told there was a wait time but it wouldn't be long. It was only about 15 minutes and we were seated. Server was prompt to take our drink order and asked if we knew what we wanted to eat also, which we did. The fish dinner was huge and not greasy, Mac and cheese was delicious, but the coleslaw had a odd taste so we passed on eating it. Server was excellent! First time there, definitely would come back!
We just moved to the Ohio River Valley area 2 months ago and we like to check out little places. We drove an hour to come eat here at the Back Door Tavern. They have an entrance that leads to the bar of the main road and an entrance in the back of the building that leads to the dining room. There is a family dining and adult dining areas. It was super quiet and only one other family there. The dining area is definitely a great little spot! Lots of craft beers and a beer challenge!
The food was good. We got the steak chili cheese fries, onion rings, fish and chips and the HUGE half hot sausage Pittsburgh sandwich. Everything was really good. I just have thing I did not like and that was their hoouse made hot sausage. If you like fennel, then it's for you! I'm not a huge fennel fan and that's all it tasted like. The diet coke and sweet tea were so so and I wasn't a fan of the tartar sauce. But everything was really good. Large portions! We will definitely come back.

Good food, especially their fish dinners. Always have to ask for a takeout box as there's so much of it. I was highly disappointed that they took crab cakes off the menu. Always packed and sometimes you have to wait in line outside to get in. The waitress we had this time was friendly and attentive which we appreciated since we stopped going there for a while due to not so friendly, non attentive, not smiling/attentive/unfriendly waitresses. They also refuse to seat you if all of your party isn't there at once. And heaven help it if you see friends come in and you want them to join you. Good fish and burgers there though.
Basket of fried scallops and fries for $7.50, not bad at all. Fish everyday, not just Friday like a lot of places. Give them a try, nice beer selection.
Delicious food and fun atmosphere. I love the Buffalo wings and sandwiches! My husband loves the burgers and barbecue wings, and our son loves the burgers and chicken fingers.
Great beer selection. Wings are good, spicy chili that's actually spicy (ask for onions and cheese if you like it that way). The Thursday chicken special sandwich with Rufus hot sauce is amazing. Fish on Fridays is always good, and my fav go-tos are the hot pepper burger and philly cheese steak.
