Catfish King Restaurant

No, don’t go here. Just don’t. Message to owner: Your drive through sign says PO-BOY. It’s not the same as a sandwich on a hamburger bun. Shame your drive through chick doesn’t know what a po boy is either. And the pecan pie….really??? You ought to be ashamed. Have a local baker make it for you. It’s not complicated. This is Texas !

This was our first visit in quite a while and it renewed our faith in Catfish King. We placed our order, chose our seats and our food was delivered to our table within a reasonable amount of time. We did miss the salad bar being closed, but understood the reason why. The tea dispenser was emptied by an employee without us having a chance to get refills. We enjoyed our food.

Unassuming really great food! I had the steak fingers and they were not your typical frozen offering. They were handmade. My very picky daughter inhaled the burger and said it was one of the best she’s ever had. The fries were also very good. The water in the area (we experience the same water issue In Texarkana) was not good. It tasted like pool water smells. We tried to drink the tea, but opted for soda. This is not the fault of the restaurant. I suspect that people from the area don’t notice the taste of the water, so I did not dock any points for it. We will be back for the food next time we pass through.

First time here , Super Bowl Sunday , 1:30 pm, traveler passing thru ,ordered the Special Dinner at the drive thru , the food was excellent and service at drive thru was outstanding sorry I did not catch the young lady's name but she was very courteous had a beautiful smile and she was very friendly and professional. I will return.
